Great post. You are so right!
Bill Clinton could deliver a stirring speech, but the words were empty. President Bush speaks from the heart and his actions speak for themselves.
If things continue on the path they are heading right now, historians are gonna be quite busy for years to come explaining how this Presidents was so misunderestimated
Big Time bump!
I still can't believe what's happening in Middle East!!! Bush has proven liberals and leftists wrong time after time. First, Aghanistan, then Iraq, then Lebanon... The question now is what's next.
As I said on another thread, we just don't know the outcome for all of these events. However, without Bush's words and wisdom, these events WOULD NOT happen.
He has told strangers around the world that this nation stands with him. ---- should say "them" not "him." I asked the Admin Moderator to change it.

Powerful words from a great president!
Fortunate you are, dfu. Stirring words from our President. He's the Actionator.
Great post, Doug! :o)
Duh. People longing from freedom ----- obviously, it is longing for freedom.
"America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our people." President George Walker Bush
That quote will stay with me til' the end of my days. God Bless that man.
Great comments about some great statements.
For our President who was characterized as "dumb as a rock" - his democracy stuff does seem to be catching on.
One of my favorite lines was: "You're either with us or against us". Jesus said, "If you hate me, you love death".
Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.

How much irony is there that at one time a Dim could have said this. The party of what's in it for me.
Thank God that this president does not wait for the U.N. before doing what needs to be done.
BTTT!
Great post! Big BUMP!
Not as far as he's concerned. He thinks he had a great time - - lots of fun being President and everything....
And a little more than a month ago on a frigid day in Washington D.C., we heard the words of another man. Those words are destined to become among the most famous words in history. George W. Bush: Today, America speaks anew to the peoples of the world: All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: the United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you.
Excellent
Another brillant post by another brilliant FREEPER...
From the 40s through the 80s the USA stood firm against the spread of communism. Until 1972 the democrat presidential candidates were of the same mind and policy as the Republicans.
One could argue that in following this policy, the US became partners with any bad character who would assist. The extreme left made that point.
Carter was a blip on the screen, but he did harm. But not so much to prevent the demise of the USSR and the release of the Soviet grip across Eastern Europe.
Bush's policy "triangulates" against the old left claim that we support corrupt regimes. It took muslim terror to make this policy timely and essential.
It took the principled courage of Bush, to firmly follow this path.
Ad the palestinian troubles to the list of changing regimes, too.
The left is "left" without a meaningful foreign policy argument, these days. Hence the shift to oppose social security reform (which so many of them are on record for previously supporting).
