It doesn't seem like it now, but the intensity of the pain you are feeling will diminish in days and weeks to come.
Take good care of yourself - your other dog needs you.

baltodog, My prayers go up for your family, while you mourn the passing of your faithful friend. God's comforting hand over you and your family. Lord, please comfort baltodog tonight and in the coming days. Surround him with your angels. Provide his family with comfort and peace. They gave unconditional love to one of your beloved creatures. Assure them that their beloved pet is now in your company and will await their arrival! In Jesus' precious name. Amen
Slings and Arrows - thank you for the ping.
Blessings,
trussell
If you want on/off my prayer ping list, please let me know. All requests happily honored.
I'm so sorry to Hear this! My Kitty, my sweet Friend and Companion, Fang-Face, Passed Away in my Arms last Summer, and it was just Dreadful. I Empathise with you so much, and am Praying that the Gracious God of Heaven will Comfort and Strengthen you.
I've been there. It's amazing how much it hurts. Condolences, bro.
Carolyn
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your companion. I join in prayers for you and all those hurting and missing him.
Thank you. He seems to be holding his own. I've had four Pyr's, all rescues, and they're just great dogs. Their size is imposing to the wicked and their gentleness a comfort to the innocent. They are cleaner than a cat, as loyal as a dog can be, and stubborn as a mule. They're the perfect dog with only one fault; they die on you like other dogs.
Enjoy your Pyr, you should have at least thirteen years of priceless companionship. Do as much training as you can in the first year. I expose puppies over 6 mos. to an obedient German Shepherd for about two weeks. The pups pick up the lessons like bacon and make for great obedient and trainable dogs.
So sorry for your loss. We had a similar experience with our 16 yr. old dog and another 13 yr. old which was terribly injured six months before that. It is just plain difficult all the way around.
Sorry for your loss. I still get misty thinking about my favorite dog who died in 1971. God bless you.
I'm sorry for your loss, baltodog.
