I remember looking up this "church" on the Internet after that lunatic shot those people. They literally are Nazis! I remember two or their slogans, "Racial Holy War" and "Our Race is Our Religion." Their website was filled with all sorts of vile slander against blacks and Jews. They also denounced Christianity and had unkind things to say about a Jew named Jesus. I don't know how many followers there are. They can't be very bright but they must be mentally unstable -- I don't think they could coordinate anything themselves but they would be useful idiots for Islamic terrorists. It would not surprise me at all if the Islamic terrorists were working with various fringe hate groups.

In July of 1999 one of his alleged followers went on a shooting rampage in the Chicago area and in nearby states, killing two people and wounding nine others. His targets included blacks and Jews.

Unfortunately, I remember this all too well. One of the murdered victims lived within a couple of miles of where I was living at the time. He was a basketball coach at Northwestern U., IIRC, not to mention husband and father of young children.

Apparently my mother, a native of Chicago, knew this woman. She mentioned last night that in addition to the white supremacists, this judge had also worked on a case in which goverment folks were selling fake drivers' licenses to the highest bidder. Mom says the scandal contributed to the discrediting of the last governorship. I suppose it's possible the white supremacist link is a red herring.

Anyone else hear about the drivers' licenses? I'll ask my mom about her source later tonight.

You know, something doesn't add up here. Picture one of two scenarios -

1) Hale hired a professional hitman. PROBLEM - Why would a professional have killed non-targets?

2) Hale recruired a fanatic who was inexperienced. PROBLEM - Why didn't they wait around with the bodies until the judge came home?

Apparently the daughter came home and retrieved a bag or something, and noticed nothing amiss. Did she scare off the killer? PROBLEM - Why didn't they just kill her?

Another complication, especially if the actual triggerman isn't found - when the prosecutors try to pin it on Hale, his defense can argue that his prosecution for conspiracy provided cover for the actual killer who had a different revenge motive.

In any event, expect the libs to use these poor people's murders as an excuse to push for gun control.
