I wish you were correct. However, Israel is too engaged with creating a peace with the PA and any other diversion at this particular time would require a complete readjustment by Sharon.

The USA is too engaged in Iraq, Afghanistan and Iranian subterfuge to be able to take on Syria.

Not even Canada, Germany or France would put up with that and it behooves Syria not to discover how much of our total military assets are not in theater. They might nt be much by our standards, but by the standards of anywhere else on the planet, they are still formidable.
