Apparently the soldiers were ordered to stop the demonstrations, but they refused the orders. Really?????
Praise God.

Do you have CNN International in the states?
They are covering it still.
Interesting to see them waving the Lebanese flag, and no secterian flags at all. It is a united Lebanese front.
Cheers.

A true Politician, when he realizes the parade is starting, and hurries to lead it.
Not sure what ought to be done to stop his antics....sending Israeli troops or US Troops not a good answer.
Probably going to need some kind of a peacekeeping force....French?

So, is this behind-the-scenes work from our CIA guys, a la Reagan's all-out war on communism?

I wonder if those 25,000 protestors will give those 15,000 troops some ideas...

I think he'll support her if she keeps moving to the center. Which shows his naivety. He didn't say that he'd support her that I heard, but was trying to explain how we all have to work together the way we did to defeat communism.

My great-grandmother came here from Lebanon (Zahle), and I've always felt sad for the recent events there. This is a great day. I'll bet it is. That's really cool to have someone like that in your genealogical history.
