Greer dismissed Wolfson. Also, no swallow test
was done for the following reason. Remember part
of the deal was for Terri's family to agree to having
her feeding tube removed if Terri FAILED THE TEST.
What kind of a set-up was that? It's was straight
from you know where. Of course Terri's family would
never agree to that. Who in their right mind would.
Hospice could have pre-drugged Terri before the test
ever took place. My opinions, but very possible.
Thats the wrong way of looking at the scenario... The better one is we should all ASSUME that Terri WILL fail a swallowing "test". Especially to the standards of the triumvirate(Greer/Felos/Bushnell). So Wolfson's proposal was a TOTAL JOKE.
Terri is already SOOO much better than hundreds of thousands, (or millions) of patients with difficulty or inability to swallow. She will need MUCH less THERAPY to get back her full swallowing ability.
Thats the KEY, swallowing THERAPY, not swallowing TEST.
Note that all the patients on the separate SWALLOWING THREAD had failed their first swallowing test, but after their muscle-stimulation therapy, they passed and could live without their feeding tubes.
I think the MOST ideal solution would be for states to get the heck away from that notion of 'feeding tube' equals medical device... Its no more 'medical' than a spoon. Or else maybe kill EVERYONE who needs a 'tube', even temporarily. </sarcasm>
Yes, I forgot about the Schindlers having to agree to that.
