Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.

What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.

Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.

If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.

A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.

Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.

SENATOR SANTORUM. Thank everyone involved in getting this accomplished. Conrad, Martinez, even those who oppose, they understood the importance of this issue and were willing to work with us and allow its passage. I want to explain what this bill does. It gives a fedearl court the aiblity to review the state court's action. A man was sentence to death for killing 2 people in California. He will have multiple appeals to see if he got his due process rights, a multiple murderer. Terri Schiavo has done one thing wrong. She didn't have a living will but the Fla courts gave her a death sentence. Theys aid her feeding tubhe would be removed UNTIL SHE IS DEAD. And nobody in the federal courts will hvae due process rights to see if the florida courts were fair. This protects the constitutional rights of someone whose only mistake was not to have a living will. Shouldn't we give someone who has been sentenced to death by a state court determine if her rights were protected by those courts. It applies only to her, to no one else. It sets no precedent for any other action. I encourage my colleagues to understand that there is a proper role for the federal courts to make sure that due process was followed (Greer is toast FV).

next, SENATOR FROM FLORIDA: Bill Nelson this bill is a good faith bi-partisan effort to allow a fedearl court in my state to review this case. one of the imprpovements is that it changed the original draft directing the fedearl court how to provide injunctive relief. I support this bill so that this case can be reviweed and decided in a timely manner and indeed it underscores the need for usu to promote living wills. thank you Mr. President. Senator Harkin. This is so time sensitive. There are hundreds and thousands of people with disabilities. I said to my friends in Florida, we ought to do a habeus type of procedure. After recess, in a bi-partisan, FASHION SOME KIND OF LEGISLATION THAT WILL GIVE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, THE ABILITY TO TAKE ONE LAST LOOK AT THEIR CASE BEFORE THE PLUG IS PULLED.

SENATOR FROM VIRGINIA Mr. Allen: A woman who when I observe her is conscious and has the ability to feel. I believe in the sanctity of human life and in good conscience we cannot allow this woman to be starved to death. In no way does that mean she's lost her will to live. I am proud of the Senate and Senator Martinez for his leadership in having her right to life protected.

Mel Martinez: I want to thank the minority and the majority. I am very pleased we have had the kind of cooperation that we have had. I want to say that by voting for this bill, we will allow a Fedearl Judge one last look in a case that has so many questions and so many anxieties to know that we did all we could do, just like it would be given a death row inmate convicted and condemned to die.

ALL TIME IS EXPIRED. Mr. Levin - this is the most difficult decision making a family can make. Section 1 makes clear a fedearl court would have to find a violation of a constitutional right or a right under US Law in order to provide an order that she be maintained on life support. There has to be a violation of the US Constitution or a Federal Law.
