Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.

What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.

Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.

If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.

A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.

Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.

4. VISIT PINELLAS COUNTY FLORIDA AND VIGIL WITH US AT HOSPICE WOODSIDE.

6. HOLD A DEMONSTRATION AT THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION.

7. Join the Message Board that freepers started at the Crystal Cathedral/Hour of Power. TELL YOUR CHURCH ABOUT TERRI.

8. Tell your friends that Terri is alert and aware of her surroundings and to visit www.terrisfight.org to see her videos.

9. PETITIONS. We will gather current Petitions here for you. At this time, you can sign a SAVE TERRI PETITION AT www.renewamerica.us. THERE ARE ALSO IMPEACH GREER PETITIONS ABOUT.

Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.

Appeals courts are not allowed to do any real evaluation of whether the trial court judge's evaluation of conflicting evidence was at all reasonable.

Okay, who disallowed that?

That's been the rule for a long, long time. There are a few reasons for it:

1. A trial court judge can see how witnesses act; in some cases, this may give a judge good reason for discounting a witness' testimony even it appears reasonable in the transcript.

2. There are many cases in which reasonable judges could disagree on certain findings of fact (i.e. where two reasonable judges watching a case could reach different verdicts). If judges could be overturned on appeal merely because someone else would make a different decision, chaos would reign.

3. Judges do not like to declare other judges to be 'wrong'. The convenient fiction is that when judges fail to allow in the right sort of evidence, their intention is that an appeals court gets to decide what evidence gets in, but they'll make a best guess as a stopgap so as to keep the trial moving. And if, as a result of admitting new evidence, a trial court judge changes his verdict, he can continue to claim that the old verdict would have been right with the evidence considered at that time. For an appeals court judge to slap reverse outright a trial court judge's decision based on its being predicated on an outrageous interpretation of evidence, however, would be a major slap, and appeals court judges try very hard to avoid such things.

To be sure, the appeals-court system is pretty broken, but if trial court judges were honest and reasonable it probably wouldn't be so bad. Unfortunately, the appeals-court system provides absolutely zero check against dishonest judges.

You have to provide social security cards for every family member, bank statements, copies of utility bills, copy of mortgage bill or signed statement from landlord, verification of employment,pay stubs, etc. etc. etc.

A person would have to have a second bank account that they hid or false identity with fake SS# in order to cheat the system. It can be done but someone would have to have the criminal mindset to connive a way to do it.

It is absolutely unfair to the people who really need help from Medicaid that Terri was placed on it by Greer's authorization while MS lives in a house with a pool. I deplore the fact that some people abuse the system when there are folks who have had a tough run of events due to no fault of their own and need help on a short term basis.

Unfortunately, Florida's judicial campaign laws from what I understand make it essentially impossible for anyone--incumbent or challenger--to legally talk about an incumbent's record. It also forbids many types of endorsements, or basically anything else that would allow a person to decide who's the better candidate. Given all that, and given that Greer was not bound by the same restrictions as his opponent (the laws apply to him too, but he ignored them) his 68% showing isn't all that great. Actually, I would be surprised if many incumbent judges seeking reelection get lower.
