TERRI SCHIAVO MARCH 2005 DAILIES Fla's Til of the Hun Sets March Date to Starve Terri
Terri's Fight, The Empire Journal, World Net Daily, Life News ^ | February 28, 2005 | floriduh voter

Posted on 02/28/2005 7:08:08 AM PST by floriduh voter

Terri's Freepers,

Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.

What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.

Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.

If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.

A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.

Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.

What can we do?

1. LOBBY TO SAVE TERRI

2. HELP BUMP THIS THREAD.

3. POST ARTICLES YOU SEE ABOUT TERRI.

9. PETITIONS. We will gather current Petitions here for you. At this time, you can sign a SAVE TERRI PETITION AT www.renewamerica.us. THERE ARE ALSO IMPEACH GREER PETITIONS ABOUT.

Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO EVERY DAY, THE PAY ISN'T VERY GOOD BUT THE FRINGE BENEFITS ARE THE GREATEST. You are Great Americans and liberty is Terri's and freedom from oppression. Freepers, that is the big payoff if we continue our daunting task.

Terri's family is grateful to you and all of your prayers are being heard by the Giver of Life.

Chicago slayings rattle [Florida] judges
March 8, 2005

http://www.sptimes.com/2005/03/07/State/Chicago_slayings_ratt.shtml

While no Tampa Bay area jurist ever has been murdered, some have been harassed, followed and publicly threatened.

Probably the most guarded Pinellas judge now is Greer, whose decisions on the Schiavo case have received international attention. Guards sometimes encourage him to eat lunch in his office.

Security officials don't like to talk specifically about how they protect judges, but in Pinellas County, access to criminal court judges' chambers was cut off years ago, even to members of the press.

Judges park in a special lot that is under video surveillance and a key card is needed to get in the entrance they use.

Pinellas County's budget for judicial and courthouse security pays for metal detectors, facial recognition technology and the salaries of 140 bailiffs. Pinellas deputies have, on occasion, also protected a judge's home round-the-clock.

When he does go out - as he did recently to celebrate a judicial assistant's birthday - the armed guards are with him.

--Times staff writer Bill Levesque and researcher Caryn Baird contributed to this report, which includes information from other news organizations.

IMPORTANT ACTION ITEMS FOR TERRI

March 7, 2005 – As you may already know, Terri’s case has reached a critical point. Judge George W. Greer has ordered that her nutrition and hydration be removed on March 18, 2005. This will begin a long and painful death process for Terri if his order is carried out.

There are still some things that can spare Terri, and disabled people like her, from this type of forced death. Some of them require your help.

1. Florida’s House and Senate are considering a dehydration and starvation protection act that would require stronger evidence of informed consent prior to removing assisted food and fluids from an incapacitated patient. If you are a Floridian, a disability advocate or an elder care advocate, you can let Florida’s lawmakers know that you want them to consider such an act.

Contact Florida’s Lawmakers here.
www.flsnate.gov – Senate
www.myfloridahouse.com - House

2. The US Congress will consider a bill titled the Incapacitated Person’s Legal Protection Act on Tuesday, March 8, 2005. This bill, if signed into law, would entitle incapacitated persons to the federal review of their rights (known as habeas corpus) and would help ensure that they have been fairly represented. You can encourage your representative to give favorable consideration of this act. Habeas corpus protections are currently available to the worst convicted criminals; this new law would make it clear that disabled Americans are entitled to at least as much legal protection.

Contact your representative here.
http://www.house.gov/writerep/ - US House of Representatives
http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/ - US Congress

3. Seventeen doctors – neurologists, physicians and pathologists, have signed statements in Terri Schiavo’s guardianship proceedings to support new neurological testing protocols for her. This is important because of recent findings that may support the position that Terri is not in a persistent vegetative state and can be trained to communicate in spite of her limitations. Disability advocates across North America are calling for an immediate moratorium on deprivation deaths for disabled people like Terri until these new protocols can be enacted as an updated avenue of testing. We ask that you contact your state representatives and ask that they consider such a moratorium.

Contact your state house and senate.
http://www.house.gov/writerep/ - US House of Representatives
http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/ - US Congress

4. The Justice Coalition has petitioned the Governor of the State of Florida to invoke statutory protections for Terri Schiavo pending an investigation into abuse, neglect and exploitation against her.

Sign the petition here.
http://www.justicecoalition.org/petition2.htm

5. Terri’s family have filed a number of motions and petitions to the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Pinellas and Pasco Counties and continue to process several different appeals in the Florida courts and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Read the latest here.
http://www.terrisfight.org

6. National press and media continue to misreport and misrepresent Terri’s situation. Such reporting does a tremendous disservice to vulnerable people and elderly and disabled persons throughout the United States. You can help by contacting the editors of your local newspapers and letting the truth be known.

Download the talking point list here.
http://www.terrisfight.org/talk.pdf

7. Over 200 internet bloggers have joined forces to support Terri Schiavo by publishing articles, commentary and information about her situation and legal case. You can join their ranks, read their updates and pass the information along to your friends.

Check out the blog sites here.
http://www.blogsforterri.com

Finally, on behalf of the family and legal team working hard to protect Terri Schiavo and vulnerable citizens like her, we thank you for your time and compassion and we hope that you will contact us with links, suggestions and your personal stories. Your continued support is beyond value.

In Jacksonville Florida and the media has yet to give a good story about that press conference. Just small snippets is all they've done.

There is no recall provision in Florida.

I don't know if there has ever been a suspension of a state officer.

Article 4 Section 7 Florida Constitution.
http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/index.cfm?Mode=Constitution&Submenu=3&Tab=statutes#A04S07

SECTION 7. Suspensions; filling office during suspensions.--

(a) By executive order stating the grounds and filed with the custodian of state records, the governor may suspend from office any state officer not subject to impeachment, any officer of the militia not in the active service of the United States, or any county officer, for malfeasance, misfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony, and may fill the office by appointment for the period of suspension. The suspended officer may at any time before removal be reinstated by the governor.

(b) The senate may, in proceedings prescribed by law, remove from office or reinstate the suspended official and for such purpose the senate may be convened in special session by its president or by a majority of its membership.

(c) By order of the governor any elected municipal officer indicted for crime may be suspended from office until acquitted and the office filled by appointment for the period of suspension, not to extend beyond the term, unless these powers are vested elsewhere by law or the municipal charter.

They aren't! I posted somewhere asking folks to contact the Florida Baptist Witness and ask if they would interview Dr. Jerry Vines-First Baptist Jacksonville, Dr. Tom Messer-Trinity Baptist, and Herb Reavis-North Jacksonville Baptist Church. None of them are very far from FBW offices and each church has several thousand members.

I really believe that if these pastors would speak up that it would be a plus in this area of Florida.

I don't have the time at this moment to research but as far as I know if they find any of the allegations true they could take her into protective custody. Also I would imagine if they want to play hard ball they could do it because Greer is interfering with their investigation by keeping the death order in place if he doesn't change the March 18 death date. I can't imagine it "not" happening. Greer is something else! People fear DCF, they take kids away from parents!

If Greer ignores these Medical Affidavits then I can't print what I think.

It's incomprehensible that they could be ignored. They are all, in a nutshell, saying She isn't PVS, She can't be killed!

I wish there was a way to post them as they are IMO deserving of their own thread!

It most certainly doesn't. It's been packaged in so many attractive packages and over the years we've gotten used to it. 30 years ago I doubt even 1/4 of the current tv shows would even be allowed much less promoted and praised.

amdgmary posted about all the small things that we can do which WILL make a difference this coming week.

I used this link
http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/ - US Congress
And it is great. You jsut put in your zip code and it gives you a list of your Sentors, Congressmen, President and Vice President of the U.S. Then you just write 1 letter and it inserts the correct name in each copy and send a seperate e-mail to each of your Reps + the President & VP.

It was so easy, jsut one letter and it went all voer.

I encourage everyone to use this link and take jsut 5 quick minutes and write. It WILL help Terri!!!

Well DUH!! guess that author doesn't want to tell the truth that it's a violation for Greer not to have stepped down.

Judge Greer has violated FS 38.10 four times by not disqualifying himself from the case when it was requested. The statute states whenever a party to any action or proceeding makes and files an affidavit stating fear that he or she will not receive a fair trial in the court where the suit is pending on account of the prejudice of the judge of that court against the applicant or in favor of the adverse party, the judge shall proceed no further, but another judge shall be designated in the manner prescribed by the laws of this state for the substitution of judges for the trial of causes in which the presiding judge is disqualified.
