It sounds like euthanasia is legal in Florida, whether they call it that or not.
Or maybe murder (or suicide if person signs a "living" will) is legal in Florida, because taking in nourishment is certainly not extraordinary means.
great post! thanks for posting all those articles. cyn, just in case you missed anything at Empire Journal, there's a bunch listed here on post #2321
food and water is extraordinary means only in Greer's kangeroo court.
since Greer's legally blind, I wonder if those who aren't "seeing impaired" would think he's using extraordinary means to see if he uses glasses or some other manmade seeing device, like contact lenses. Those certainly aren't "natural."
I forgot to mention that it wasn't before the Florida Supreme Court .. another lie. Yet this Lauren O'Connor, who sent out this e-mail from Jeb's account, upon speaking to her said that she consults closely with Jeb's legal team. No promised personal response to an e-mail/fax that I sent them which they said they would response to personally addressing what I took exception to. I have the receipt (send successful, etc.) from my fax and the fax itself. Now Lauren recently sent out an e-mail from jJeb's account again which to me is in the same tone/theme as this heinous e-mail and guess what it was sent 15 to 16 days before the March 18 death order date.
Thanx for that link. It certainly tells it all.
Looking at the photo, it reminds me of that line of Scripture where it says that "one ought not to think too highly of himself!"
How can the USA exterminate poor Terri and then go into the Middle East to "spread democracy" and the "American way" of living? I am surprised that Putin did not ask Bush II about Terri, but then again, he is not too bright, for he thought that Bush II had played a role in "firing" Dan Rather.
Michael Schiavo looks like a SOB!
Great 3-D effect with his groping hands.
Now... wrap a diaper around the head of that Islamofascist wannabe !!! ;-))
If just one inmate at abu Ghraib prison had been killed by witholding food and water, the left half of the country would be screaming for the impeachment of the president.
I agree. Though, even the lower level Federal courts can be more a part of the local politic than one might think.
> Michael the monster and his 'ho'
Your choice of 'ho' to typify Jodi is, IMHO, the most accurate term I've seen so far.
"Michael's 'ho'", or "his 'ho'" -- that's her from now on.
federal judges hold lifetime appointments, they aren't put there (and can't be removed) by local small-time politicians, and even the libs on the federal bench generally have strong academic and legal backgrounds, and are demonstrably bright (a federal judgeship is a prestigious appointment, and is vetted by Congress); in contrast, on local courts you're more likely to get hacks like Greer - somebody who plainly isn't very bright and possibly may be compromised by his ties in the the local good ole boy network
I don't know the answer to your very thoughtful question. Floriduh voter might.
Yes, I see what you mean.
Note for instance, that Midge Rendell, wife of ex-mayor of Philadelphia Ed Rendell, was appointed to the third circuit court, before Ed Rendell became Governor of Pennsylvania. There are a number of other judges in the third ciruit who are from Philadelphia as well and were backed by Arlen Spector. There are also some third circuit judges who are NOT from Philadelphia.
Thus, the Federal courts are less hackey than state courts, but they are comprised of more hacks than you might think.
