Come to think of it even at his age I bet Chuck could fly the pants off a few guys up there.
He and Bud Moore came to Midland for the CAF Airshow right before I came back active duty. I wanted them to sign my book. But I couldn't afford the $200 a ticket! LOL!

Anyone interested in the preservation of WWII aircraft can find out more here.
The CAF has the ONLY remaining flying B-29 "Fifi".
They are doing their part to preserve the nose art of the old planes too.
Best moment for me at their annual Air-Sho was meeting newly minted CAF "Colonel" Major Paul Tibbets III, USAF.
Grandpa was being inducted into the CAF Hall of Fame that weekend it was great.
