Police have uncovered new evidence in the decades old BTK Wichita serial killer case and are questioning a person of interest, according to sources close to the investigation.
Authorities scheduled a news conferece for 11AM Eastern Saturday to make an announcement in the case, and relatives of the killers victims would be briefed beforehand.
Some police sources have said that a 59 year old man was arrested Friday and linked to the case by a DNA sample.
Surveillance activites gave police 'their first big piece' of recent evidence, leading authorities to a vehicle and the person of interest.
Investigators also searched a house in the Wichita suburb of Park City Friday, siezing computer equipment.

Well, I guess they are still better than the Fearless Fosdicks we have in Baltimore.
They let some druggies out on bail who tried to burn down the house of the family of 4 who turned them in.
They rounded up the druggies, again and let them out again!
So, the druggies went back and finished the job... burned alive the entire family of 4.
Yep!!
Yep!!
another fine example of big city crime work.

This is just pitiful.
I think society is getting to confortable with this kind of misuse of the media.
It looks like they will get away with it, and all will be forgiven.
I don't like it. It is like reality tv news.
Stay tuned next week, and we will add a little more to the story.
LOL!......I am never going to watch another police presser.

I saw it earlier this am. It was one page where she states she attends K State (I think), is committed to the Lord. God bless that girl.

Why is everyone so eager to protect this guys identity? The last paragraph of this story might answer your question:
In December, the arrest of a Wichita resident on minor charges sparked widespread speculation of a possible link to BTK. That man, who had no connection to the case, later filed a defamation lawsuit against media outlets.

So many victims...not limited to the 8 or 10 murdered. The victims and suspects families. Poor girl indeed.
