My car can do that...if you drop it off a cliff.

Nice car. But one yahoo in a 76 Ford pickup could reduce it to twisted tin foil at an intersection. Kind of silly to pay that much for a car.

I think it was a 52 Plymouth that had the lowest 0 to 60 time. If memory serves it was estimated to go from 0 to 60 in 0.4 seconds.
It was done with the catapult on a aircraft carrier.

... Other deluxe wheels included the Mercedes-Benz-designed Maybach 62, a sedan with a twin-turbocharged, 5.5-liter, 543-hp V-12 engine. It's described as the most expensive non-sports car on the market at $377,750....Check out the rear seats...

I coulda beat all those guys in GTOs and 4-4-2s back in the 1960s.But those old goats would only set the average Joe back maybe a third of a year's wages, and said guy could actually work on them himself.

I'm glad to see they put verticle opening doors on that thing, so I can still get in it after some yahoo pulls in with his pickup truck only a foot away.

I've gone through this whole thread and there's not one picture of a scantily clad lady leaning on a car. Don't any of you know what car pictures are supposed to be about?

If you've got 1.2 seconds to spare on your way to the big dance, I can save you $515,500 (before my modest commission for saving you such big bucks)
Behold American Engineering Marvel: 2006 Corvette C6 Convertible, Zero-60 in 4.2 seconds with the reliability of your Chevy pickup truck and a price tag of $44,000 for the Coupe. (Convertible shown, Babe not included in price, but might be attracted by your new ride)

I own a BMW M5, which is the fastest production car on the planet. 0-60 in 4.8 seconds.
Of course, at 58...I only drive it to church on Sundays. heh-heh....
The 2005 M5 will cost about $100K in the States when it is released here. It boasts 500 HP.

For a car that can go from zero to 60 in less than three seconds...
I want one! My 83 Camaro takes almost 5 seconds to reach 60!
On second thought, Ill keep mine.

*FAST*No it won't do 0 to 60 in 3 seconds, but it will scare the living Hell out of the other guy when you put the hammer down. :)

I saw one of the shows on Discovery where they went through the building process and delivery to the customer of the vehicle. Only watched it because it fell between motorcycle shows but I have to say Steve's outdone himself on this one. I'd still take a 68 Fastback over this car.
