Strength Reaches Into Republican And Independent Circles
Feb 25, 2005 9:15 am US/Central NEW YORK (CBS) A recent Gallup poll indicates that Democratic Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's strength among women reaches into Republican and Independent circles.
The finding, analysts say, could give her a much better chance of winning a general election should she seek the presidency in 2008.
The poll also shows that the junior New York senator and former first lady, has a more favorable image among women than men, 58 percent women as opposed to 48 percent of men.
Gerald Benjamin, dean of the liberal arts college at SUNY at New Paltz says Clinton has wooed voters by staking out centrist positions on a range of issues including abortion and the war in Iraq.
The Director of the Marist Institute of Polling, Lee Miringoff, said that although the support among women is beneficial, Clinton is far from getting the party's Democratic nomination, should she decide to run.
Looks strong - smells stronger.

If you're looking at her thighs. |
Bah, blah blah blah blah blah blah.... (Not directed to you. It's these stupid polls we'll be reading weekly from now until November 2008.)
I think having Hillary run would be the best thing the RNC could possibly ask for. Think of the money the RNC could save in advertizing!! Every time Hillary would appear on TV, or open her mouth, our polls would soar.
Especially if we got Condolezza Rice to run against her.
Don't forget these are the same liberal folk who thought John Traitor Kerry had a lock on the last election.
Like an ox. Uncannily like an ox.
What happened to the thread about that vaccination they've developed that makes people immune to media polls that hype Democrats? We've got four years to hear all about how Hillary will beat any and all Republicans; how if they had it to do over again, most Bush voters would vote for Kerry; how Howard Dean is coming on strong, blah blah blah. The 2004 election isn't six months behind us, and already the damned media is trying to elect the next Democrat. Is there no respite from this? What's next, pre-exit polls showing that Condi Rice would be beaten soundly by a Democrat to be named later? |
Hillary's already practicing for her campaign across America.

This is complete BS. Republican women to not like the skank and she'll get beat by any competent GOP'er if she makes it past the dem primary (where she will undoubtedly be the most manly participant).
I think the media is pushing her. I don't trust this, remember how well Kerry was doing?
While we must never discount Mrs. Clinton... let's not forget that Howard Dean also looked "strong".
When it comes to Mrs. Clinton, we need to stay vigilant, smart....and unafraid.
(And, we need to start calling her "Mrs. Clinton".)
Expect many more pro-Hillary polls to be conducted, and heavily reported. Things have a snowballing effect. Remember how Bush's name recognition and early strength in polls helped him secure the nomination. With Hillary it will be much more pronounced seeing as how the media will be her unofficial cheerleader.
LOL
It's okay...just enjoy the show as the MSM and their Dem buddies continue talking themselves into believing that Hillary can win.
