Is there some reason you can't park so that it faces the hole in the ozone layer Of course! (smacks self in forehead) Just point it toward Antartica ... it's melting, so it's gotta be warmer!
Thanks! This is gonna save me a lot of time.

No. I am truly interested in how one pole can receive more sunlight than the other.
Seeing as how the equinoxes wind up equally at the same latitudes from the equator, I have always thought the poles received the same amount of sunlight. That the earth wobbles a little is a given, but that it would tend to favor one pole or the other is not something I would tend to believe.
A non elliptical orbit should also tend to even out over time.

And I truly respect anyone who honestly is trying to learn something.
The Earth wobbles on it's axis, the Earth is more donut-shaped than round. The Earth's orbit is parabolic.
The Polar cap is larger at the south pole, smaller at the north.
The southern hemisphere is warmer than the northern.
Astronomers and Scientists have placed their equipment at the South Pole because it gives the longest, best view of the night sky.
Find out how long the night is at the north pole, vs. the south pole.
Other than that, what would be your explanation for the difference?
To: rock58seg
Has to do with the Earth's revolution and Sun angle.
See here Eventhough the sun is farther away in January than July, due to the eliptical orbit, the Northern Hemisphere recieves more direct sunlight during it's winter.
More here on all that.

So sorry! I have no explanations for it. While I concede there may be global warming/cooling, ( I just love the new fudge envirowhackos use now, "climate change") I don't think mankind is able to influence it much, one way or the other.
I am still waiting for an answer to a question I posed in astronomy class 30 years ago. According to Hubble's law the universe is expanding. say I am standing on a world in which two other worlds/stars, whatever, are expanding away from me at 100,000 miles per second in opposite directions, due to speed of light limitations they would never see each other. However the real kicker is that, they in some way are moving faster than the speed of light. It matters not that I am standing in the middle, because, perhaps one of the worlds is not moving at all.

I had an ice cube in my glass by my computer when I left my office at about 5:30 pm.
Now at 11:11 pm, it has melted.
Global warming in rampant in my office, and it's Bush's fault.

If this is the same Danielle Murray, she and her gay lover contributed to global warming this past year.
http://www.bostonphoenix.com/boston/news_features/other_stories/multipage/documents/03849727.asp
Couples strolled through the line, hand in hand. Some indulged the spirited crowd by sharing passionate, wet kisses. Others held up their marriage-license applications triumphantly in the air. It felt like being a celebrity for a day, Danielle Murray admitted to me. She and her partner, Catherine Schaber, of Jamaica Plain, had waded through the throng, flushed and invigorated. The first hours of gay marriage in Massachusetts had far exceeded their expectations.
"Im so excited, Im shaking," said Murray.
"Its amazing," Schaber agreed.

The weather of the world is probably on a 10 thousand year cycle. To think humans are THAT influential seems rediculous.
