Yes, I do feel right about searching for the truth on a subject that I am not really that knowledgeable about...its the only way I am going to learn...
I would agree that it is cruel not to consider the wishes of Terris parents...she was their baby, their little girl, long before she became Michaels wife...but, as the law seems to be now, once a person marries, its the spouse who gets the right to say what happens next...
Which, only goes to show, that people should have it in writing what they want for their life and death decisions, concerning their own body...its a shame that we do not have in Terris own handwriting, what she might have wished for herself in this situation....I suspect, she would opt for life....but we will never know for sure...
I know that Terris parents are on agony right now...I know the feeling, that horrible feeling that comes, ,when you realize your child might die soon...my older boy was terminally ill, and my knowing that his days were going to be shortened, was pure agony...so I have all the sympathy, and understanding for Terris parents...what they are going through, is horrible..
In your case, it sounds as if there was nothing that could be done. In Terri's case doctors have stated rehabilitation is possible.
I cannot even imagine what you or they are going through.
