"It's strange for me to say it, but this process of change has started because of the U.S. invasion of Iraq," explains Jumblatt. "I was cynical about Iraq. But when I saw the Iraqi people voting three weeks ago, eight million of them, it was the start of a new Arab world." Jumblatt says this spark of democratic revolt is spreading. "The Syrian people, the Egyptian people, all say that something is changing. The Berlin Wall has fallen. We can see it."

A most excellent article thanks.
Under Bush the US has done many great things and I hope we will continue to do great things and influence great things.

Ahhh..the sweet breath of FREEDOM blowing in the dark corners of the world. "W" blowing on the embers of smoldering discontent with the ideology of poverty and death will burst into flame in the hearts that yearn for FREEDOM.
The ink stained fingers will not be denied.

It was the VOTE.....imagine that. Despite all the wishing for the election to fail, the election to be delayed, the election won't work, blah blah blah. In the end it really was as if the Berlin Wall fell again.
And let's not forget how many years it has taken for the replacement to be functioning.
