Oh yes, certainly a neighbor. Some would not consider the Pope their brother because they consider the Catholic church a false church.
I am not saying I DO; this is the opinion of many protestants.

I barely remember the release of the 52 hostages after being held hostage in Iran for 444 days. I was about 6 years old at that time.
You walked into the equivalent of a hospital waiting room where people are scared that their loved one is going to die, and you said things that ignored their fear and grief...
And you are surprised when people react?
Have you ever waited in a hospital to see if your loved one was going to come out alive? Its a frightening thing.
As a catholic, it's tremendously comforting for me to read posts from everyone -- especially non-catholics -- expressing how much this pope means to you. I thank you all humbly from the bottom of my heart. I know we are all praying for God's will to be done. Blessings to all.
Let em be man. This is foreign to me and you, but they are obviously in a very defensive mood. Now is really not the time for this debate. I'm moving on, while I still have my posting privilages. :-D

I pray he will have have a pain-free time. Nobody should be in pain. The soul is more important than the body, that is all I am trying to say.
Then show him the love that Christ demands you show your neighbor.

That's not a very sensitive thing to say to people who are obviously worried.
I suppose you go to hospital waiting rooms and blather on to the family about how the person in surgery wasn't that important, or was old enough or whatever.
All you are conveying on this threat is malice, which often is evidence of hate.
But I will not longer feed you, troll. I have to go out on a business trip in a blizzard right now, a task 1000 times more palatable to me than spending one more second conversing with you. [spit]
I do not wish to debate the merits of anything. It amazes me how irriated people can be just because you pose a philosphical question......
To whom it may concern, this is not a good thread for quarrels with the Catholic Church, this Pope, and so forth.
