Maurice Hinchey, Dem Rep Who Accused Rove of Planting Rathergate Docs, on Hannity Tonight
Hannity & Colmes, Fox News | governsleast governsbest

Posted on 02/23/2005 6:07:47 PM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Maurice Hinchey, the far-left Demcorat who at a public forum in Ithaca over the weekend accused Karl Rove of planting the forged Rathergate documents, will be on Hannity and Colmes during this hour.

I'm sorry to say that Hinchey is my congressman. This is the same guy who at the beginning of the Iraq war accused our military of committing 'massacres' in Iraq.

I can confidently predict that Hinchey will not back down. He is a strutting little arrogant fellow. Keep your eyes peeled to see if the cameras show his feet - he likes to affect cowboy boots - this Brooklyn-born little tough guy.

Yeah, I was sort of dazed after shaking Rove's hand - I didn't expect it. I remarked to my husband how I wish that "Vulcan Mind-Meld" thing could be real... LOL. How I'd love to tap into even 1/100th of that genius! ;-D

You could fool me, she has much chance of winning as anyone with a D on their name but if you listen to some people on here it's like we don't even need to have an election. The woman is loaded with negatives. If the GOP can't beat her there is something wrong with them. Respect is one thing, fear is another, you don't think right when you are scared.

Matthews just asked poor Mr Schindler (Terri Schiavo's father) "Is Terri a 'flatliner'?"

What a schmuck. You'd think his Catholic training might have given him more sensitivity for the situation.

Well put, and on reflection, you're right that some here have convinced themselves that she's virtually unstoppable.

My own view is that while she is certainly beatable, we underestimate her at our peril. She is cagey and ruthless. I saw her on one of the Sunday talk shows during the Dem primary season and was deeply struck by how much more ably she handled herself than any of the Dems contending for the nomination.

Rove could really drive the dems nuts by hinting that he will run for president!!!

I'd say it wouldn't even require a Republican of Boehlert's level of RINO-tude. Even a mainstream Republican could beat Hinchey if, as you point out, he had plenty of money.

One person who I think would have an excellent shot at beating Hinchey would be state senator Tom Libous of Binghamton. He's an able politician. Can't say I know exactly where he stands on all the issues, but he is definitely to the right of Boehlert. Might even be pro-life.

Rove could really drive the dems nuts by hinting that he will run for president!

And if he wanted to send them screaming out into the streets, he'd announce that his VP pick would be . . . Tom Delay!

Pro life, unless modulated (you know, Ok in the first trimester, but parental notification, and no partial birth abortions kind of thing), won't cut it in this district. It would be the kiss of death. The guy needs to be perceived more or less as a social moderate to liberal, and perceived as willing to take Bush on on certain issues.

Chris Matthews doesn't have a "sensitive" bone in his body---he is rude and crude.

Flatliner, indeed!!! If Terri were a "flatliner" as Chrissy so crudely put it, she wouldn't be able to breathe on her own!!!

That's not saying much when you consider Al Sharpton and Dennis Kucinnich were the competition. I don't think we will elect someone as evil as she is.

I'd vote for that ticket.

I'd put a big sign in my yard...and a big bumber sticker on the car. Just to see the liberal's lose it when they go by!

I cannot believe that anyone - even the media people - have not pointed out that argument. They are so focused on the "bringing down CBS" aspect, that they are ignoring the facts of the story.

What I cannot believe is no one has picked up on the FACT the the demofilth think(term used loosely) they need to prop up C-BS. Would it be a case of 'protecting your own'?

Of course there could be a little constitutional impediment, since they're both from Texas and it's forbidden for both prez and VP candidates to come from the same state. That's why Cheney, who had been living in TX, had to reregister in WY. But I'm assuming Rove has a home in VA, and could register there.

Yeah, let's start the rumor. Someone go over to DU: "I've heard Rove is secretly planning to run in 2008 and make Delay his VP. Run for the hills!"

posts 90, 115, and 129.

I think the dems were careless. Having Burkett and Van Os so connected to the big dems....raises too many questions.

Democrats appear TRAUMATIZED by Karl Rove, it's just so sad and so much fun to enjoy all this.
