Maurice Hinchey, the far-left Demcorat who at a public forum in Ithaca over the weekend accused Karl Rove of planting the forged Rathergate documents, will be on Hannity and Colmes during this hour.
I'm sorry to say that Hinchey is my congressman. This is the same guy who at the beginning of the Iraq war accused our military of committing 'massacres' in Iraq.
I can confidently predict that Hinchey will not back down. He is a strutting little arrogant fellow. Keep your eyes peeled to see if the cameras show his feet - he likes to affect cowboy boots - this Brooklyn-born little tough guy.
Consider - If Bill Burkett knows who gave him the forged memos, and is not telling, then the least of his problems would be to:
Take the fall for this other person/people. That would solve the legal stuff.
But, consider this:
If the other person/persons is a person/people of some position and power, and since it is now known that Burketts role has been uncovered, this puts Burkett in jeopardy from the very person/people who provided those memos.
Are they/he worried Burkett will spill the beans?
Probably.
Are they worried an investigation will lead to them/him, even if Burkett keeps quiet?
Probably.
Are they worried that Burkett has hidden the proof of the source somewhere?
Probably.
In light of this and the fact that being revealed may also lead to a question of integrity and motive for this person/people then there is the very troublesome question all concerned must be addressing: Is Burkett expendable?
Probably.
Remember, we still dont know the truth about the Kennedy assassination.
Could Burkett disappear with much less investigation?
Probably!
I am sure there are many who are loosing a lot of sleep over this, including Burkett.
Probably.
Now, Hinchey is bringing this alive again...and the Dems KNOW the thread leads to Burkett who, it is supposed, is the only one who knows where the Memos came from (except the person who provided them). Burkett must be shaking and wishing Hinchey would shut up!
He's easy to spot in DC. Look for the UFO in the VIP parking spot.
It's an upstate NY district which is actually quite moderate with an evenly divided Republican/Dem registration. But Hinchey got in there 12 years ago, and has millions of dollars of union contributions available, making it very difficult for a challenger to defeat him. He had one close call in the 1994 Republican revolution, but since then has coasted against weak opponents.
Better living through chemistry ;-)
I used to feel sorry for the freepers that have Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer or Patty Murray as their congresscritters---
But, after that performance tonight, I think YOU are the winner of having the congresscritter who has emabarressed himself the most on national TV!!! He should get his award in the mail any day now!!!
EggsACKLEY...he could use the help.
....you say Hinchey will pay no political price. Yah. But his "party" will. One more nail......
With that geography (Newburg to Ithaca!) created to insure a liberal (D) gets elected, I can understand.
NY needs a Tom Delay style re-districting...fat chance I guess in the land of Dems.
I THANK GOD everyday that I live in The South!
Even Maurice is too embarassed to be on Olbermann.
You can leave your blinds up and draw a bigger audience than Olbermann.
I faxed it to him yesterday. :)
While I understand that this can be an occasion for mirth for my fellow FReepers, it is truly distressing and literally sickening to have this guy as my 'representative.'
So WHY is he being allowed to say these things and get away with it?
Why is it that democrats can lie and slander with impunity while, if a Republican tells the truth about someone, he's crucified?
I will try to take some solace in that, but it is truly very disheartening to have this guy as my 'representative.'
Here is the Van Os Bio. Van Os is the one show was covering for Burkett out in the press when it first broke that Burkett supplied the memos to CBS.

CBS has gone nuts. Friggin' nuts. Were they chastized by the Rathergate report? Apparently not. They are crazed. Out of their minds. Rabid. Smokin' some really good stuff. Drinking hi-grade Kool-Aide. Puttin' the wrong mushrooms into the stir-fry. Jumping the shark and counting coup on it. Poppin' Zoloft like Tic-Tacs. Getting fitted for shirts with extra-long sleeves. Booking seats on the white van. Squirting glue up their noses. And still coming back for more...
Looks more like Robert Blake to me...
Thanks. I needed that. I actually got a LOL out of it. And trust me, I was in sore need of a chuckle.
Now, in my own memory; it was told by the MSM that cBS delivered the 60 Minute format for the next evening to the White House, around nine AM, Tuesday. Then some six hours later, the White House called to thank cBS for the heads-up, and and even returned said papers. Then this was announced by Dan Barkley, (sp) ? the White House chief of staff (not sure of his title exactly...)
So, I drew the conclusion that if anything, the White House said to themselves; "well let them hang themselves...." and so this is the reason for the dems anger....
Had my/our photos taken with The Great One Mark Levin, author Richard Miniter, SwiftBoat Vet John O'Neill and Senator Norm Coleman. Possibly some others, but I can't remember now. I still have that silly old-fashioned camera... need to get the film developed.
