TORONTO detectives didn't have to travel far to arrest a man who allegedly drove away after running over a man who had jumped off a bridge onto the DVP. Officers arrested and charged a civilian member of the Toronto Police Service with failing to stop after the Jan. 29 accident, traffic services Det. Wally Watts said yesterday.
The suspect is a 10-year veteran of the Toronto police service who works as a computer programmer in information technology services/computer operations at police headquarters.
EMPLOYEE SUSPENDED
The employee has also been suspended pending further investigation, Watts said.
Watts said the 22-year-old man who was run over committed suicide, by jumping off the Riverdale footbridge that spans the DVP.
It was originally reported, on Jan. 29, that a black late-90s model BMW 3-Series car sustained damage to the front and rear end bumpers and undercarriage after hitting the body.
2ND DRIVER SOUGHT
Watts said police painstakingly tracked down the suspect car after distinct "pieces of debris" that broke off the car were identified by the Centre for Forensic Sciences and then through BMW Canada.
Watts said investigators also want to talk to the driver of a red Pontiac Sunfire who may have also struck the dead man and left the scene.
Paul Lindo, of Toronto, will appear in Old City Hall court on March 22 to face a charge of failing to stop after an accident involving death.

I was responding to his idiotic assertion that American cops are never arrested, unlike this Canadian IT person who worked for a police department was. Plain and simple stupidity that needed to be corrected. Now please explain your stupid retort if you would.

the Libertarian movement is laughed at all over the world.
Your need to take your brand of "hate the cops" conservatism, and "Drug Warriors suck" mentality and start your own website.
You want to lead your party yet you can't type whole sentences, use proper punctuation, nor spell correctly.
You even frigging have a ping list for home schooling! At least capitalize! Sheesh I hope the MSM doesn't see your idiotic rants.
Thats what Nichols said.
No problem. Just didn't understand what you were getting at.
Sounds to me like you are someone who has had too many brushes with law enforcement officals which have left you with a bad taste in your mouth.
What I have a problem with is when cops plant evidence on someone that they know they had nothing to do with a crime just to further their career.
Nice to know that you are the one who determines what should be posted here and what shouldn't be. I'll keep it in mind (not)
There are some bad cops and crooked cops but I will bet the
percentage of police that are wrong is much smaller then most public or private employees.
What ever, dopehead.
as intelligent a response as you've ever posted.
Flies and Sh!t I guess.
