Prayer Request for FReeper Henry Lee II

All,

 

Fellow FReeper, Henry Lee II, spent the weekend in the hospital with a dangerously low blood platelete count (1-2k vs 100-400k which is normal).  While he was released late Sunday, he's been back to the E.R. several times since then with spontaneous nose bleeds.

 

He's been diagnosed with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, which may take care of itself, or may require surgery.  He's also had a bone marrow biopsy to rule out leukemia or another malignancy.

 

Please keep him and his family in your prayers, and pray for a high platelete count in his future blood tests.

Our son had this for a couple of years when he was 12...no idea what brought it on, or what cleared it up. Lots of fears about leukemia, but it just happened for no reason, he recovered, and has done great ever since.

It's a scary time, and you have our prayers for a complete and swift recovery.
