FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- A man was arrested and charged yesterday with murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend and her 7-year-old son, who disappeared from their home over the weekend. Hours after the arrest, authorities found two bodies matching the description of bagel shop owner Lisa Underwood and her son, Jayden, authorities said. Stephen Dale Barbee, 37, admitted arguing with Miss Underwood over leaving his wife, according to court papers. Mr. Barbee reportedly said he suffocated Miss Underwood, then did the same to the boy after he interrupted the attack.

Hang him...in public...Where tho? Billy Bobs parking lot? Need a big open place so everyone can see.
..Televised the Event, w/ no fanfare.."should've done this 50 year ago..."
as Judge Roy Bean said: "Hang him first, try him later."
In this case yes. He said he did it...took them to the bodies...his "partner" saw the bodies he was driving around...Hang him.
Then when the boyfriend called him to pick him up after stashing the bodies and the car, he went to get him, saw a cop and left.
He came back later and got him! Accomplice is more like it.
Your source has some problems. Stick with those that are local to the crime...the Fort Worth Star Telegram or the Dallas Morning News.

Acquaintances' views on suspect differ
Housman lived two houses up the street from Barbee and his wife, Theresa. They have since divorced.
Housman said Barbee used to start huge fires, fed with clippings from his tree-trimming service.
Barbee would set the fires in the bar ditch and then leave, Housman said.
"These fires would burn for hours, and there was no one around to make sure that the fire did not get out of control and consume the whole neighborhood," Housman said.
"Barbee was not the most likable of people," he said.
Housman also knew Ron Dodd, the man who provided transportation to Barbee on the day of the killings, according to the arrest warrant affidavit. Dodd moved in with Theresa Barbee after Barbee moved out, Housman said.
The house where Theresa Barbee lives is in the 200 block of Ridge Country Road and is valued at $400,000, according to the Tarrant Appraisal District.
"It was my impression that the two didn't get along," Housman said of Dodd and Barbee.

(STEPHEN D.) BARBEE
I am wondering if money was involved...I just can't believe Dodd was such a great personal taxi service..
*Below are links to the arrest documents for Stephen Barbee. The documents are in .jpg format and are large. They may require a longer than normal time to download.
GOOD LORD!
Trying to make sense of this..was Dodd merely renting a room or romantically involved with Barbee's ex..Word is he and Barbee did not particularly get along..yet he provides taxi service and stays mum for awhile about seeing the bodies...Very strange, very strange indeed.
Follow the money.

Investigators work at the site east of Justin where the bodies of Lisa Underwood and her son, Jayden, were found.

Investigators look for evidence where two bodies were found on Tuesday.

... Years later, Barbee started a concrete business with his now ex-wife Theresa called Cowboy Coring, and lived in the North Tarrant County where Ron Dodd now lives.
