Actually there is one last thing Jeb could do, which many of us hope he is holding as a last resort option.

Actually, if Jeb would simply come out and state some of the incontrovertible facts of the case, that would probably do as much to help Terri as anything he could do officially.

We can only hope! Who would be the one to pursue this?

was surgically removed. SURGICALLY REMOVED. It is torture before they even begin starvation!

Florida voter I am an LPN and feel pretty sure the tube is only held in place with a few stitches. It's just a matter of clipping the stitches and pulling the tube out...But Terri will suffer greatly as she is starving and dehydrating and then her kidneys will shut down and she will become septic and die.. I know in my heart that she does not want to die. I am praying to God for a Miracle..I would love it if she jumped out of bed and yelled at them stop it and give me a drink of water NOW

That would be nice, but as long as he enjoys judicial protection, he's almost untouchable.

There is no way he is going to escape #1 judge...Our Heavenly Father...Micheal will spend a bleak eternity because I don't think he is the type to repent....

I am making sure my Will states that I am not to be kept alive in such a state. This is disgusting, send her home to God.

Thats fine for you but put it in writing.....Terri left no such writings and we only have the word of her sleezy husband and when Terri collasped tube feedings were not consider life support...I want to know how they grandfathered her in

If the remaining body minus the brain was harvested for organs at least five people would live. Two kidneys, two lobes of the liver and one heart. So...by keeping Terri Schiavo " alive" ( I contend she died her brain died) you deny life to five other people. So in the hard calculus of sanctity, is it justifiable to allow five others to die to prove a point?

Just think how many organs these creeps will have to sell if they start killing disabled people..Yep its all about money

Pardon my incredulity. But to my knowledge there has never been an anencephalic who " grew a brain".

There have been people whose scans were indistinguishable from anencephalics who became competant human beings. You may argue that they weren't really anencephalic but merely misdiagnosed. That may be true. But if doctors can make the mistake with a newborn, why not with a 27-year-old?

Floridians to call their representatives in support of HB 701, Withdrawing Nutrition and Hydration.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ON HB 701,
THE FLORIDA STARVATION AND DEHYDRATION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES PREVENTION ACT

QUESTIONS:

1. What can be done now that the Florida Supreme Court has struck down “Terri’s Law” under which Governor Jeb Bush directed that she be given food and fluids?

2. What can be done that the Florida courts won’t strike down?

3. Since the courts in the Schiavo case maintained there was “clear and convincing evidence” that Teresa Schindler-Schiavo would have rejected nutrition and hydration, how would the proposed bill save her life?

4. Does the bill require nutrition and hydration in every instance in which it has not been specifically rejected by the patient?

5. Some legislators say that since the Florida Supreme Court said denying Terri her food and fluids was a “final judgment”, and the legislature can’t overturn a final judgment, nothing can be done.

FRTL also has a petition for download on prevention of starvation and dehydration.

That's what her parents' doctor, Dr Hammelsfer, (sp). was saying, though.

They applied a filter to her EEG to filter out those *anxiety* waves.

So, he said the reason her EEG was flat, could be that the *cognition* brain waves accidentally got filtered out with the *anxiety* ones.

So....Terri didn't leave written instructions about being kept alive, but her husband and the courts have decided for her that she should die. Now, I haven't heard or read anything about her wanting to be an organ donar, but no problem. She's brainless, so what does she know? Why should 5 people be deprived?

As a matter of fact, why shouldn't death row inmates have their organs harvested before we kill them? Oh....I forgot.....prisoners have rights, Terri doesn't.
