Another father who needed to get rid of the "problem"...I can't imagine what kind of person could do this crime.Evil.. What I heard on the news, was the killer was NOT the father of the 7 yr old or the unborn baby, just an ex- ____________________ (insert profane name here).

As horrible as this kind of thing is, I dread watching it play out in the media. I hope this isn't another Lacy Peterson circus.
Why does the media grab some events and drive them into the ground, and totally ignore others.

His bail was set at $2 million. I never did get this.
Is setting a bail required in each and every criminal case?

Is setting a bail required in each and every criminal case?
I dont' know... but he's only been charged and not convicted yet by a jury of his peers... so until convicted I'd guess he has the right to be released for some fee if he can raise it unless he'd be considered a flight risk. I dont know what the Texas law says in that regard though.
