Another great one!!!!Thanks.
That one is currently MY favorite, too, :o)
Simple. To the point. TV-friendly.
Confrontational, but not TOO harsh.Plus, it really helps explain why we have all those PURPLE fingers -- at the Oscars.
That's me, tan baseball hat w/beard, on the right.
OF COURSE I'm on the RIGHT! :-)
(I was concentrating on finding the image of a LIMO passing our position.)And, that appears to be the top of TED HAYES's colorful hat -- to your left.
I could give it a try. I saved the pics (the BIG one in your post linking the "Color Purple", too).So you want the white foam hand and purple finger snipped and then placed into the "Color Purple" pic. But where? In the top left or at the bottom, replacing the woman in the rocking chair or ???? .....
Let me know either here or on Freep mail.

This is amazing! I have always loved Mel (a big girl crush. ya know) - but nothing has made me prouder of him than the 'Passion'! If I ever meet him (not likely) I'd just hug him till he popped and tell him how proud the Lord must Be!

Some good ideas here already but I'd be careful about the finger - in order to keep it clean and on higher ground.
A few thoughts on using the word 'Passion':
The Passion Movie Wins! _______ Million Americans voted at the box office.
Hey Hollywood...where's your passion for truth?
Love the Iraq 1/Hollywood 0 too!
Yes, love that one....it says it all. Wish a plane with a huge banner could fly over with that.
I'm not adept at posting images but how about this:
There's a picture in this post of an Iraqi holding up their purple finger with the Iraqi flag blended into the picture.
I would use that picture (and others from that day) with the caption: Got Freedom! (going with the Got Milk ads)
Then use a commiewood montage with the caption: Freedom for me but not for thee.
Just a thought.

Hey Hollywood...where's your passion for truth?excellent!
Perhaps something like THIS:
I love your idea...and I posted my support. However, I also suggested on Feb. 12, (your original post about FReeping the Oscars )that idea for the "purple finger." I never heard if you liked it or not. So, I figured you didn't. Oh well, I thought. I tried. However, I also asked about another way FReepers could show support. Would you check out my comment and question. I would love to have a way those of us who cannot be there can also support you! Thanks.

I like the way you think. Brief, to the point, and blindingly accurate.
Maybe you should explain why and what you're protesting? Or did I miss it somehow?
Billboard Delivers Right Jab To Hollywood

LOS ANGELES -- A conservative group is giving thanks where thanks is not wanted.
Citizens United posted a billboard thanking Hollywood stars for contributing to the re-election of President George W. Bush.
The billboard includes the text "4 More Years ... Thank You Hollywood!" It features pictures of Michael Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Affleck, Chevy Chase, Martin Sheen, Barbra Streisand and Sean Penn.
"Using a billboard, thanking Hollywood for helping re-elect George Bush is somewhat in fun, but also delivers a serious message," said Dave Bossie, president of Citizens United. "That is, every action has an equal and opposite reaction."
Citizens United is the same group that mounted a counterattack against Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" called "Celsius: 41.11."
The billboards are more than one block from the site of the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood and Highland, site of the Academy Awards presentation. Citizens United said it has plans for more billboards in the area.
