I dated a Vegan once (just once) who forced this diet upon her 8 year old AND her Golden Retriever puppy.
This idiot couldn't understand why her child couldn't pay attention in class, participate in any active games, or do anything without constant reminders.
As for the poor puppy, you've never seen a more confused animal.
I believe some tomatoes have goodness levels measured as high as 5.4 mg/dL. /sarcasm
While I personally think the vegan diet is stupid, I certainly wouldn't want some busybody telling me what I should feed my children. BUTT OUT!
Little boy I know (6 years old) has parents who keep him and themselves on a vegetarian diet. One afternoon after school the boy confided in me saying " Today at lunch my friend gave me some chicken noodle soup, and it had real bits of chicken in it... mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm, it was good!"
I felt really bad for the boy that he's denied meat.
ummmm... call me dumb, but wouldn't breast milk be considered 'an animal source food'?
..."The vegan diet can provide you with more energy, nutrition, and is bursting with goodness." ...
Nice comeback from the NITWITS!!!
This is patently false.
God gave certain mammals including people, canine teeth for a reason.
There's another article somewhere on FR about hospitals testing infants for twenty six different diseases. I think I can decide what's best for my children to eat not some scientist with an axe to grind.
Most vegans are fanatics, that's my experience with these people. They are easily brainwashed.
Probably didn't supplement with B12... when I went to college, most of the PETA vegans were really nasty libs. However, I work with a lot of rastafarian vegans and their children are brilliant and very sharp minded with beautiful skin. Most all are homeschooled where they can monitor their lifestyle and diet too.
How so?
My liberal sister/brother-laws are forcing their newborn onto their vegan diet. The kid is going to be malnourished. Its unhealthy.
heh heh...
OMG! Supersize Me: The Sequel?
If God didn't intend for us to eat cows, why did he make them out of meat?
One of my favorite T-shirts reads:
Vegetarian:
Old Native American word for 'Bad Hunter'.
