I think it is far more than a bad hair day. If you look at Hillary when she has been on the road for a few days, she looks like death warmed over. I wonder about her stamina and how it will weaken as she ages over next three years. If Hillary is forced into a contested primary and a vigorous campaign, I wonder how fit she would be to hold office. How will a more haggard-looking Hillary appeal to voters? Would Hillary's health become an issue?

I have a buddy that's been in the diplomatic protective biz for a few years. He's in the military. Reserves now.
He has a friend (yea, this is a heresay story) who is in the Secret Service and was assigned to the Clinton White House. During his orientation the agent was told he could speak to anyone that he ran across at the White House except one person. On his first day on the job the new agent had someone pass by him. Being a polite young man he said to her "good morning ma'am" to which he heard the caustic reply "F You!. This was said by Hillary Clinton as she passed by the young man sworn to die for her. She never even looked up at him.
True story? I think so.

A very interesting article. I have been suggesting over the last few months that this is a possibility. I like the VP, but, could see him stepping aside for the good of the party/country.
Sort of reads like a Tom Clancy novel only with Condi Rice as the hero.
Food for thought!

Humm tied in with an article last week that W refers to Condi as 45. Then Cheney retiring oh say in two years and Condi is appointed VP then she's a natural to run in 08. However, I do not believe the country is ready for a single black woman as Prez. JMHO

She is a mean-spirited, duplicitous, heavy-handed manipulator with a vile mouth and ruthless resolve. Hillary is Lady Macbeth on steroids, heralded as either the great Democrat hope or the personification of evil.
And don't ever forget the head bobbing...you know

Condi Rice declared herself "reluctantly pro-choice." Thus, I am reluctantly anti-Condi. Sorry.
What irked me the most about this statement is that she co-opted the weasel-wording of the pro-abortion crowd by using the term "pro-choice." Last time I checked, the victim of abortion (the unborn child) had no choice.

Hillary is Lady Macbeth on steroids, I always found her to be more of an Elena Ceausescu. (God, did I fantasize about angry peasants with AK47's back in '98.)

The talk is that Mitt Romney is on the short list should health concerns shorten the Term of Cheney. As they say, we'll see.

She may or may not be pro life. No one knows.
I cannot (yet) cite a source, but I'm pretty sure C. Rice has expressed pro-choice opinions (but not expressed in a big way). It was, I think, around the same time "Bar" and Laura also expressed pro-choice leanings versus the pro-life stance of GWB & GHWB....might have been in W's 2nd year in office. I'll keep looking.

They'd be more inclined to vote for Condi, but a large percentage might stay home and not vote for anyone and there lies the potential problem for the GOP. We need every vote in the rural areas of Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Missouri, etc.

I love Cheney and I can see him being a participant in designing this "strategery!" Heh, heh, heh...

The summary is:
Liberalism is dead. The democrats can't go to the right without being (accurately) portrayed as having no real values of their own. They can't go any further left, since they took Dean on as the head.
So what do you do when you believe in something that everyone sees is anti-Ameeican (which it is)? Tough choice.

Good point...voting is easily "compromised" in a big way in some states. R's sitting out and D's thieving could make all the difference in the world. Literally....
