I think it is far more than a bad hair day. If you look at Hillary when she has been on the road for a few days, she looks like death warmed over. I wonder about her stamina and how it will weaken as she ages over next three years. If Hillary is forced into a contested primary and a vigorous campaign, I wonder how fit she would be to hold office. How will a more haggard-looking Hillary appeal to voters? Would Hillary's health become an issue?
This is a question I continually ask myself and folks who think she will run in '08. Unless she gets a personal trainer now and starts to get in shape, she will never be able to take the tolls of the campaign for the Presidency. Say what you want about John Kerry, but he was fit. He was fit probably because of a life of leisure, but fit nonetheless.
Hillary is no where close to being fit. You can see it in her eyes, and that light dims more and more as time goes on. Her face is literally falling, and to the point that surgery would be blatantly obvious. There is not a 6 week program that can fix the years of abuse. It would take at least a year of some serious vigilance for her to get to a respectable fitness level.
I suspect not only her fitness, but her overall health will be at issue as well. Imagine how she would emerge after a really tough primary season. I simply don't believe she has the energy to campaign for a year or more, and certainly she couldn't stand the rigors of the last two months in her present state of health.
She'd be back to having someone else's money pay to make her look good. Hair would be perfectly coiffed, make-up impeccable.
When she has to pay, or work at it, this is the hag she really is.
