Tripp only started taping once Monica started confiding scandalous information and wanted her to lie under oath.
Wead was taping secretly purely for opportunism and personal gain. (Though I take satisfaction that the libs have to deal with the fact that GWB is indeed the same person whether in private or public.)

At least Linda Tripp recorder her conversations to keep from taking an unscheduled trip to Fort Marcy Park!
