...the first lady is looking for a replacement who can cater to the first family's native Texan pallets. So, Carlo has the White House contacted you yet??

Not to nit-pick, but the AP needs more proofreaders. In the phrase "native Texan pallets", the word should be "palates".
Carry on.

I'm her guy. I toast a mean Pop Tart, I'm the KING of microwave popcorn, and my Ramen noodles can't be beat.
I only occasionally burn water when I boil it.
Where do I send my resume?

Both my sisters make a great lasagna, but the little one has an awesome Mexican Chicken dinner that could make any Texican "whoop". I have to warn the president though, if he has her "kickin' chicken", it's liable to change his religion.

Yeah, I noticed that. I wondered how many 'pallets' they have laying around in the White House. Maybe in the warehouse.

Mrs SmithL makes a killer Macaroni & Cheese with her Meatloaf. My specialty is Beer-Can Chicken. Maybe we could get jobs as tag-team chefs.

As I stated on the thread
COMMANDER IN CHEF A VERY TALL ORDER
Hire Chef Larry Perdido from Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill in Austin ...
<snip>
I think it would make a great statement to go with the mix of American classics and modern fusion cuisine that is so prevalent in this country as the menu at the White House, prepared by an Asian American from Texas.

I think they stopped calling because I keep forgetting to turn on my phone recorder. They never think to call me at work.........

"We like spicy food of all kinds," she said in the magazine's Feb. 28 issue. "We like, obviously, Tex-Mex and barbecue. ... George is a very good eater."Well I like barbecue, too, same as any other red-blooded American.
But there ain't gonna be any GREAT dinner parties in the White House until we elect our first hunky president. Go ahead, do the research... when was the last time pierogi was on the White House menu??? Sheeesh, these people don't know what good home cookin' really IS!!!!

You're right...husband and I were kicking ourselves for not buying stock in MSO when we considered it back in Nov '03. We've never played the market but that would've been a good risk...she'll be bigger than ever if she plays it smart and doesn't pretend she was a political prisoner.
To: Lazamataz
Quit bragging.
I too have got some great dishes for them when they accept my invitation. Ill go to the local supermarket; and from the frozen food section, Ill purchase a couple of packages of Chicken a la Milanesa (precooked), tortillas ready to fry, and a large package of frozen peas. Ill have the maid make up a batch of mashed potatoes (maybe the instant type to make things easy) and Mrs. Smiths pumpkin pie.
But first I have to get a maid. Help is so hard to find.

You know I've missed the recipe threads. Hope you do one for Easter. :)
