I too have got some great dishes for them when they accept my invitation. I’ll go to the local supermarket; and from the frozen food section, I’ll purchase a couple of packages of Chicken a la Milanesa (precooked), tortillas ready to fry, and a large package of frozen peas. I’ll have the maid make up a batch of mashed potatoes (maybe the instant type to make things easy) and Mrs. Smith’s pumpkin pie.
But first I have to get a maid. Help is so hard to find.
I just thought of something else. I was at the supermarket at noon, already getting things for Laura and George, when I realized I hadn’t eaten breakfast; and it was already lunch. I purchased something called an “empanada” which is a smallish light yummy pastry filled with chicken or beef. This would be good with cocktails. Also, they costs $.30 apiece. Maybe I can cut them in half.
