Just Damn! Orange County and trying to drive the Orange Crush at 5:30pm on a weekday isn't so bad after all. I guess I'll be more patient now.

I don't think I could take the humidity. However, there is a great program in my field at Florida State in Tallahassee. I hear the weather there isn't quite like Miami, but I don't know. At least it seems out of the hurricane zone. I'm thinking about it.

I don't mind the cold too much, but I can do without weeks on end of snow, which kinda puts Albany of my list, another place with a good program in my area and low stress to boot!

I want to be able to keep a big pond and a big garden all year round...if I ever get motivated enough to leave Long Island, I'll have to head down south or out west.

Last time I was there was when GHWB was speaking at the Phister Hotel (beautiful place)......I think that was a few weeks after J. Dhamer was captured........

Yep. Irene Smith, the big ol' fat wastebasket whizzer.

I'm predicting she'll get at least 40% of the vote in the democratic primary.

Any takers?

Is there an ethnicity related to the control of the syndicate in the Portland area?

On the mid-size list, the rank Rockford, IL at 16. This is supposed to be cities over 200K. Rockford is lucky when they break the 150K mark...and we've NEVER been over 200k. Makes me question how much accuracy they were going for on these lists.

The wastebasket whizzer will be the next mayor of St. Louis and her opponent will blow his brains out. Take it to the bank.

Your not confusing Mayor Slay with Bill Haase are you? There are three candidates for mayor in the democratic primary Mayor Slay, "peeing" Irene Smith, and Bill "Death Wish" Haase.

I believe Haase is a "Stalking Horse" for Smith who hopes to bleed off some white and immigrant votes from Slay.

I think Slay will win the primary thus keeping the mayors job.

My old home town, Rochester, is at 89. It was a very low-stress city.

If I was looking for a low stress place, I don't think I would want any thing near the top 100 in the whole country!

"Amen to St. Louis. Now they have two mental cases running for mayor up there; both are Rats. One is a suicidal nutball and the other is an infamous alderwoman who pees in wastebaskets."

LOL, I just watched the recent mayoral debates. It made me thankful for the mayor currently in office ! Even if he is a Rat. The City of St.Louis is the pits. There are a few small areas getting revived but still wouldn`t want to live inside the city limits.

What was their definition of "stressful"?

I am surprised that Los Angeles is no. 32 and West Palm Beach, FL is #12.

There was a 'study' ...that said people enjoyed the commute as the most peaceful part of their day!

Well, I worked for a company that move facilities, knocking 10-15 minutes off the commute. Took me weeks
to adapt to the shorter commute.

It was the first third of the commute that was stressful in the AM.
