This puff piece is designed to boost Slick Willie's creds for his attempt to become the next UN Sec Gen. Recall Bush 41's comments about trying to be civil at the Clinton Library opening. They are not friends.

Bill and Hill do NOTHING that doesn't further their ambitions. Here their accomplices in the MSM are trying to wrap these pigs in the fuzzy blanket of friendship with a decent family, the Bushes.

Seems like during the Reagan years, Carter and Ford became good buddies. Maybe that was a way of keeping Jimmuh out of Reagan's hair. Likewise with this.

Hurl if you wish. I think there is something to this, but not in any way that bothers me.
W and Billy do share commonalities, as much as they are unalike otherwise. Texas and Arkansas. Grew up in the same era. Personally very charismatic. They probably do get on, when you get down to it. But they are NOT soulmates, so no one need worry.
That's the minor part. The HUGE commonality is the three have been President.
The KEY to this threesome, however, is a tag team effort by Dad and son to influence the wild-card Billy, to channel him if you will, to whatever extent possible, into productive pursuits as an ex-President. Hillary is the disciplined one; Billy is all over the lot, and that is bad for an ex-President of the U.S. because it hurts America.
One other thing: W has a religious zeal to influence others spiritually; do not be surprised if there is an element of THAT involved here.

Former President George Bush calls them "the odd couple," and this weekend one of the most unlikely teams in modern American politics is on a four-day humanitarian air odyssey to the Asian nations hit hard by the tsunami last year. Lest we forget the tsunami which has hit the DNC only to hit them again and again....

Disagree with Clinton all day long, but I think what 41 is doing is what all fathers should do for their sons; look out for them.
I've often said on FR that I am polar opposites of the Clintons politically, but if I was invited to a golf game or over for a beer, I wouldn't hesistate to say yes.
I think in the larger scheme of things, Bill Clinton is a changed man.

Well, the question I'd ask is what else are they going to do? I mean, once a person has gone through a career of government service dealing, every day, with those you ideologically are at polar odds with, I'd think a certain philosophical grace would be part of the job.
Now, those for whom partisanship is like breathing will not readily understand that. In my unofficial capacity as WCF, I am deeply in this camp, too. In fact, in my FR bravado, I picture myself telling X42 to shove it in no ambiguous terms with all sorts of Anglo-Saxonisms thrown into the bargain. But then, that ain't me that was invited on that trip either. Fact is, this is an ongoing projection of American influence and, as such, a certain decorum is expected.
Thinking about it further, I would say that there are scads of times in a man's life when he must be in the company of those he vehemently disagrees with or dislikes. For me, the ability to be civil (for the sake of a large good) may be difficult, but it is not impossible. Men don't often sit and hiss like cats when they are in the same room with a nemesis - although they might call the individual a clymer under their breath. OTOH, the fact that Mrs. Bush and the she-dragon are absent speaks volumes.
Of course, as Miss Marple points out, look at the source. Touting the good graces of the Bush family is a handy way of rebuilding the masturbator in chief's tarnished image, creating the notion that the RAT empire is waxing not waning. The extensive use of quotes from the retinue of toadies and lickspittles should be damning for no other reason that aides and gofers lie about their principal's frailty as easily as breathing. Finally, the psy-op value of seeing krinton strolling about with the first conservative iconic family (as the ill-informed and parochial NYT sees it) has great utility to dishearten those in the heartland as these posts will readily attest.
In sum, toss it into the round file. X42 is still a commie pig and Washington functionaries are not like you and me.

I will never forget that Bush the father was the first one to use the phrase "new world order" publicly. IMO, they are all globalists.

More recently, Mr. Bush and Mr. Clinton, whom President Bush appointed last month as his representatives in raising money for tsunami relief, were seen joking with each other as they sat side by side at the Super Bowl, where they had been invited by the National Football League. Anybody else notice that when they introduced Clinton and Bush during Super Bowl, that Bush motioned for Clinton to take the field ahead of him?
It was a very gracious thing to do.

Holy Moly is THIS obvious?! The whole thing is about how much Bush41 loves xlinton. Pro-Hillary propaganda piece, without doubt.
As to the spiritual side of this, I think you have a point, tx, and I have sensed it myself. IMO, the debauched one has been doing some soul searching, and the President is 'working' on him.
I'm reminded again by this to pray for Bill........it doesn't come naturally, for sure, but it is what we as Christians are called to do....

This is really the most amazing thing about the Bushes. I guess they prove what 'wimps' they are. Seems as if this is completely acceptable and has to be the most wonderful for Clintoon since he doesn't have to change one bit. He can go on and continue to say vicious stuff against the Bushes, the current President. In fact, he did just that after his library dedication when it was reported in the NY Post that Clintoon was at some speaking event and got questions from the audience and one was not too friendly in hitting him as a liar and bad President and Clintoon's response was "At least I never lied and took us to war and cost lives"! Gotta love that kind of friendship. The Bushes are naive and someone anyone can find appealing in a friend because it is obvious you can walk all over them. I don't have respect for them anymore. These stories only embolden my turn against them.
To: ambrose
klinton is cozying up to the Bush's, probably hoping to avoid prosecution should he be caught in any of the various misadventures he participated in.
