I agree. We must defend our country.

A tamper-resistant, electronically verifiable Social Security card.
This should have been done years ago.
Uniform standards for issuance of state driver's licenses and ID cards, including proof of legal residence in the U.S.
Proof of legal residence is enough. This information should not be included in a national database.

YESSSSSSSSSS! Absolutely.
I agree w/ about 90% of the goals here, altho I think the other 10% can--& should--be left w/ the states (driver's licenses, for example).
Quit being GIRLIE MAN, President Bush: PROTECT OUR BORDERS & STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION NOW!

Badly needed legislation for the sake of America. This article should be sent to every member of the Senate and House. I'll start with California...

(America needs REAL immigration reform, NOT more "guestworkers".)

I am all for stopping illegal immigration, the visa lottery, and some of the religious refugees. That said, this proposal is way too strict, and totally mindless. It is so reactionary that it detracts from the war against illegal immigration. The country does need some legal immigration to replace the 44 million workers and contributors to SS lost through abortion. If anything the legal numbers need to be raised, but screened carefully. Fight the war on illegal immigration, but let's not have any of this insanity.

This is not about Social Security. This is about the sovereignty of this great nation. This proposal deals with legal and illegal immigration. IMO it is not strict enough.

I don't think much of your opinion. If you don't realize the contribution legal immigrants made to this country then you're not much of an American or Marine. I fought with legal immigrants that gave their blood. Did you? That has everything to do with sovereignty.

That was then......This is now!The numbers coming into California today, are the numbers traditionally coming into the entire country 30 years ago!Multiply that by the reproduction rate of immigrants.. and you've got real freepin problems, hospitals closing, skyrocketing health care cost, overcrowded schools etc....etc.....etc....!

That was then......This is now!The numbers coming into California today, are the numbers traditionally coming into the entire country 30 years ago! Between 1900-1910 we had 10 million immigrants come into the US.
Multiply that by the reproduction rate of immigrants.. and you've got real freepin problems,
With legal and illegal immigration the US population grew only 1% last year. Without immigration we can not replace the aging baby boomers and we will have real freepin problems.
hospitals closing, skyrocketing health care cost, overcrowded schools etc....etc.....etc....!
Then California ought to do something about it. In Wisconsin we have labor shortages that are impeading our economic growth.

Yes, but no doubt stormfront will post this at their website and discredit the whole venture, so its probably not worth the time.

I would seriously question your 1% figure, because we are gaining one-million illegal immigrants per month, and that works out to well over your 1%.

Reforming America's immigration policies is a matter that can no longer be swept under the rug. People have been begging the US government to stop the flood for years but if anything it's getting worse. That's why in 2008 we will be ready for a candidate like Tancredo whether the tiny minority of open border apologists like it or not.

The first thing Bush-bots do is degrade a person when they disagree with them. If you don't like my opinion, fine. I will probably never meet you in real life, so I don't need to make you happy. Second, Don't ever question my patriotism or my love of the Corps.

This proposal deals with legal and illegal immigration. IMO it is not strict enough. From the article:
Impose a national moratorium on all permanent immigration other than spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens.
How much stricter can you get that zero immigration, legal or illegal ?
