Nearly 80 percent of the immigrants voted for Democrat John Kerry,... If you figure that most immigrants come from countries with a Socialist leaning then the Democratic Party is a natural choice for immigrants.
Then the question is: Do immigrants come here for freedom or entitlements?

Did I miss something? Did the article say they were illegals?

Did the article say they were illegals? You're kidding, right? MSM use a discriptive term like illegal alien? Ain't gonna happen.
Remember, they are the ones who give us people are not illegal.

Yep. Maybe we ought to do it in reverse. Enter Mexico (or France, take you pick of country) and vote in their elections.

If you choose to read "between the lines" that's your choice. The article didn't say anything about illegal immigration. It did say that some immigrants had been here for 11 or more years. There is such a thing as legal immigration.

How many of these immigrants became U.S. citzens before they voted?
How many registered to vote when they got their driver's license without providing some proof of U.S. citizenship?
I smell a major violation of the law here.

Is this supposed to be a surprise?

"There is such a thing as legal immigration."
Although that is true, 'immigrants' are not allowed to vote.
Only 'citizens' may vote.
So why would the story be about 'immigrants' voting, unless they were doing so illegally?
And why would they have an article about 'immigrant' voters if they were really 'citizen' voters?

The fastest-growing immigrant population is in Staten Island, said Ana Maria Archila, executive director of the Latin American Integration Center.
The study said the average immigrant voter was a churchgoing female Hispanic who graduated college and makes $50,000 a year.Does anyone buy this?

I don't know.
Staten Island isn't really much of a community for 'poor hispanics'.
Of course, she may have forgotten to mention that the 'population' there was on two. Her and her husband.

Now we know why the politicians in both parties will not enforce illegal immigration. Unbelievable!
