Over the span of this last decade, Theresa's brain has deteriorated because of the lack of oxygen it suffered at the time of the heart attack. By mid 1996, the CAT scans of her brain showed a severely abnormal structure. At this point, much of her cerebral cortex is simply gone and has been replaced by cerebral spinal fluid. Medicine cannot cure this condition. Unless an act of God, a true miracle, were to recreate her brain, Theresa will always remain in an unconscious, reflexive state, totally dependent upon others to feed her and care for her most private needs (emphasis added).
I have a hunch if that if every post about Terri included the fact that she's been decerebrated, that this wouldn't even be an issue.
Must be why her original doctors said she had full change of recovery. Who's the lamebrain here?
With all due respect, I'd have to guess that you've never seen the videos of her, have you? There's somebody in there. If she'd been given therapy early on there'd probably be a LOT MORE of her in there. Her husband is a dog.
Let me guess your source...ummm...how about the 2nd DCA ruling back in 2001?
Did it ever occur to you that the scans that have been shown publicly might have been deliberately sandbagged?
Doctors hired by Michael claim Terri is permanently vegetative. Doctors not hired my Michael, including those offering free unpaid opinions, say that the behavior exhibited on the videos is absolutely and completely inconsistent with Florida's definition of PVS. Some such doctors have also stated that patients in Terri's condition tend to improve if, and only if, they are given a level of care which Michael has deliberately denied Terri.
Suppose I find a painting which I claim to be a Rembrandt. I publish a snapshot of the painting, which looks an awful lot like Boeing's 777, complete with the new color scheme. I hire three experts, who all examine the painting and claim it's a genuine Rambrandt. Two other experts who examine the painting and a dozen others who examine the photograph but aren't allowed to see the painting denounce it as a fake.
Who should you believe--the experts who claim the painting is genuine (of those who examined it, the vote is 3-2 in favor of its veracity) or those proclaiming it an obvious fake (bearing in mond that most of them only saw the photograph)?
Mr. Felos,
Would you please stop posting these threads. It is
evident what you are trying to accomplish and - IT WON'T
WORK!
Most normal people she a person in this Video Why don't you?
You're just repeating crap Mikey's "I'll testify to anything you want for the right price" doctor said.
Actually Terri has water on the brain, (hypoxic encephalopathy), and a crushed disk in her neck. The 2002 exam by the neurologist, who had seen hundreds of cases like these, had never seen BOTH conditions in one patient before except one other time, and that was in a strangulation case.
The fluid pressure is pushing down on her brain, making it easy for Felos to rig her x-rays to look all black. The attempted-murderers in New Jersey once said the same thing about Karen Ann Quinlan, but after she finally died a decade later, her autopsy proved her cortex was normal.
Now answer me this Melas... If Terri is even the tiniest bit responsive, and if she can never get any better, and if her parents WANT to care for her for the rest of her life as-is, AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE, then why should THAT bother you?

Now, Mikey doesn't allow Terri outside, ever! and won't let her have even a DONATED wheelchair |
Very little research. Did you see the actual CT scan, or the actual doctor's report? Or did you just take the word of some anonymous source? Let me guess, journalism major?
The only thing is, though, that's not true.
Melas, you must learn that on these threads facts don't count for very much. The laws of any Schiavo thread is such: Everything would be honky dory if only her monster husband would let her get therapy. But they never talk about the first five or so years when he dedicated his life to try to save her, dragging her around the Country looking for treatments. Going back to school to become a nurse....but again, facts don't matter here. Now, since you're outed yourself as a rational, thinking human being, be prepared to be called every name in the book for even suggesting that her condition is irreversible, which puts you in agreement with every court that has handled this case.
