Here's a way Jeb Bush may be able to save Terry Schiavo: Open an investigation into the possible assault that led to her comatose condition. Have the state pay for her maintenance to "preserve the evidence" and pay for language therapy for her so she can tell us what she knows about how she got into the coma. It struck me that the reason her husband wants her dead might be because he's afraid of what she'll say if she recovers. I don't see how a judge could possibly deny the state the right to preserve evidence of a serious assault.
Hope she's not dead yet.
Only for the last month or so. I was very concerned back in 2003, but I thought Jeb had solved that. Instinct took over...
Your source of information?
excellent idea! Write him
Must be why her original doctors said she had full change of recovery. Who's the lamebrain here?
(*)I hope my Shakespeare reference is right hereThe situation would be roughly analagous to having an order forbidding a patient from receiving anything other than Ensure® brand food (not illegal, in and of itself) and simultaneously imposing an order forbidding the administration of Ensure® brand food (also not illegal, in and of itself). The two orders individually would be valid, but could not both be valid simultaneously.
That having been said, I would think it might be better for Bush to forego the niceties of formally voiding Greer's oral-feeding order and simply disregard it. If he hired someone good to attempt the oral feeding, the risks should be minimal; what's important is to ensure that Michael can't attempt unsupervised "oral feeding" himself.
With all due respect, I'd have to guess that you've never seen the videos of her, have you? There's somebody in there. If she'd been given therapy early on there'd probably be a LOT MORE of her in there. Her husband is a dog.
full chance.. basically that she could be expected to gain a full recovery.
Let me guess your source...ummm...how about the 2nd DCA ruling back in 2001?
Another tactic: if she's "dead" already (in the husband's opinion), sue for wrongful death and put the would be murderers on the defensive.
Did it ever occur to you that the scans that have been shown publicly might have been deliberately sandbagged?
Doctors hired by Michael claim Terri is permanently vegetative. Doctors not hired my Michael, including those offering free unpaid opinions, say that the behavior exhibited on the videos is absolutely and completely inconsistent with Florida's definition of PVS. Some such doctors have also stated that patients in Terri's condition tend to improve if, and only if, they are given a level of care which Michael has deliberately denied Terri.
Suppose I find a painting which I claim to be a Rembrandt. I publish a snapshot of the painting, which looks an awful lot like Boeing's 777, complete with the new color scheme. I hire three experts, who all examine the painting and claim it's a genuine Rambrandt. Two other experts who examine the painting and a dozen others who examine the photograph but aren't allowed to see the painting denounce it as a fake.
Who should you believe--the experts who claim the painting is genuine (of those who examined it, the vote is 3-2 in favor of its veracity) or those proclaiming it an obvious fake (bearing in mond that most of them only saw the photograph)?
He went over her record and explained it so well - and he did examine her in person.
Bless you for just understanding. That is a lot to ask for these days!
Mr. Felos,
Would you please stop posting these threads. It is
evident what you are trying to accomplish and - IT WON'T
WORK!
Great idea - how do we get it across to the Governor? If
he says the state can't afford to keep her we could always
take up a collection. Probably would collect enough to
keep Terri plus a multitude of others!
Most normal people she a person in this Video Why don't you?
It is heartbreaking to read about what they have done to Terri and how much neglect she has suffered through!
We are her only hope.
Why Judge Greer cannot understand what you understand is beyond me. The guy is either evil or incompetent or both.
Judge Greer has an agenda. He has never seen Terri in person from what I understand.
Yes, his agenda is to kill Terri. No, he has not seen her in person. He has no interest in doing that. He might change his mind if he saw how alive she really is. He doesn't want to change his mind, and he doesn't want anyone finding out that he has let Michael get away with neglect of a disabled person among other things.
