I 'gotta suspicion that this shoe-throwing was a staged act from the start. The idiot did it within the first words out of Perles mouth.

Isn't shoe throwing as a show of contempt a Muslim thing?

I'm concerned. Was the protestor able to walk away with both shoes?

"In his new role as chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Dean has stressed that Democrats are stronger than Republicans on defense."

--> Dean, where did you get that kind of information? There he goes again, flat out lying to the public.

Maybe he was upset that his request for government subsidies for bunions was rejected.

How does "Belltower" Dean think these liberal weenies are stronger on defense than Pubbies? They undercut the military every chance they get, and toss soldiers to the sharks at the first hint of wrongdoing.

He believes what he wants to, says what he thinks will get him the votes, and reality doesn't matter a whole lot.

I just can't picture Dean and Perle debating. Isn't that like shooting fish in a barrel? Perle can't possibly take Dean seriously.

Because wants to use the US Army to roundup abortion protesters, rather than Islamic fanatics.

That's exactly why the dems think they are strong on defense. Without a strong, active, competent military, other nations will not hate us. They will use Canada as an example. Canada has no military and no one is rabidly anti-Canadian.

Are you being sarcastic? Of course Canada has a military. They were with us in Afghanistan. Maybe you missed the various headlines?

"Defense is a lot broader than swaggering around saying you're going to kick Saddam's butt",Dean said Thursday, drawing cheers from the crowd in this city that overwhelmingly voted Democratic last November.

One of the things I admire about Dean is his polished and elevated discourse. :-)
