News Alert: On January 13, a federal judge in Georgia ruled that stickers placed in textbooks of an Atlanta area school district saying Evolution is a theory, not a fact are unconstitutional! ( View sticker.) According to this judge, such criticisms of evolution are an endorsement of religion. The judges action is the latest example of the nationwide effort to ban any critical analysis of the theory of evolution and insist that evolution be taught as the only option!
The Action: The Center for Reclaiming America has launched a national petition to rally 100,000 citizens immediately to oppose this federal court edict and insist that evolution be taught as a theory, not fact, in our schools. The Our Kids Deserve The Truth petition has three goals:
- INSIST that evolution be taught as a theory, not a fact.
- DEFEND school administrators, teachers, parents and students that stand up for truthful teaching about evolution.
- SUPPORT legislative and school board efforts to ensure that our kids are taught the truth about evolution and promote
Objective Origins in school curriculum. We are also launching a national awareness campaign targeting millions with the Our Kids Deserve the Truth message. Also, through this grassroots effort, we want to empower citizens with the resources they need to effectively challenge school boardsleading them to adopt the Objective Origins curriculum. |

My children pray at their public schools and do not have any homosexual agenda in their curricula.
Get out a narrower brush, please.

Gravity is a Law, not a Theory. It's the "Law of Gravity". Same with the heliocentric solar system. If macroevolutionary theory "passes every experimental test for a long period of time and is generally accepted as true" then it can become a law.

The question people got wrong was that if the barrel curves to the left or right, the bullet's trajectory will continue to follow the curve to the left or right.

#54 is a great post.
Our founders never intended that God be extracted from our government or the God or the knowledge of The Creator God be removed from the minds of our children.
The term 'Separation of Church and State" was never uttered by our founders. The provisions they made were done in such a way so as to prevent any one single denomination (e.g., Methodist, Lutheran, etc.) from dominating any other in the name of government.

I read recently that 40% or so of Americans believe that a bullet leaving a curved barrel will continue to move in an arc. This is what you wrote. No left, no right , no moderates.

LOL, it does not curve because the barrel is curved!!
That Discovery Institute has a good course to improve reading comprehension. Before you can enroll you have to buy one of my aluminum hats.
Warning: Aluminum hats preventing mistakes in reading is only a theory and even though aluminum hats are mentioned during the party where that feller turned water into wine, they still had to use oil lamps as electricity is only a theory also.

It is only a theory, but if you break the law of changing frequency of alleles, you will be sent to prison for life.

LOL, it does not curve because the barrel is curved!!I can't imagine how you could read my posts and come to this conclusion. How is life in the Looking Glass these days?

What I meant to say was that 40% or so of Americans believe a bullet leaving a curved barrel will continue in a trajectory which follows the curvature of the barrel. For example, if the barrel is bent towards the left or right, many people believe the bullet's trajectory will continue to bend to the left or right, respectively.
