News Alert: On January 13, a federal judge in Georgia ruled that stickers placed in textbooks of an Atlanta area school district saying Evolution is a theory, not a fact are unconstitutional! ( View sticker.) According to this judge, such criticisms of evolution are an endorsement of religion. The judges action is the latest example of the nationwide effort to ban any critical analysis of the theory of evolution and insist that evolution be taught as the only option!
The Action: The Center for Reclaiming America has launched a national petition to rally 100,000 citizens immediately to oppose this federal court edict and insist that evolution be taught as a theory, not fact, in our schools. The Our Kids Deserve The Truth petition has three goals:
- INSIST that evolution be taught as a theory, not a fact.
- DEFEND school administrators, teachers, parents and students that stand up for truthful teaching about evolution.
- SUPPORT legislative and school board efforts to ensure that our kids are taught the truth about evolution and promote
Objective Origins in school curriculum. We are also launching a national awareness campaign targeting millions with the Our Kids Deserve the Truth message. Also, through this grassroots effort, we want to empower citizens with the resources they need to effectively challenge school boardsleading them to adopt the Objective Origins curriculum. |

Yes, it is silly, your kids know god created the earth, right, it's not your job to tell other people what to belive.
And anyway, most of the kids probably just peeled off the stickers or drew pictures on them anyway.

"Every object in the universe attracts every other object with a force directed on the line of the centers of the two objects that is proportional to the product of their masses and the square of the distance between the two objects"
That doesn't explain how it works, that just explains the mechanics of what it does. What causes the force?

****Most scientists are charlatans...**** Do you even know any?
Probably not, but I bet he's scrubbed out a toilet or two for a few of them.

Getting in over my head again,
Is not the heart of ID that some intelligence was necessary in the beginning to create the laws of the universe so that it would arrive at it current condition? If so I have not problem with that.

It doesn't sound like you are very Christian. LOLA sinner at times but never a hypocrite, I claim nothing more. You, on the other hand, claim to be a man of the cloth and yet you treat people who disagree with you with disdain, disrespect and condescension. Hypocrisy writ large.

'...I love math. It is so simple...."
It was always frustrating to me that for some people math was so obvious. I rather like algebra but truly suffered in calc...Funny, though, for all of my sons it was a walk in the park, and one of them took advanced math courses for fun in college.

continuing, did not AE famously say "God does not play dice" when debating Hisembreg (sp) (uncertainty Principal)

Math is a genetically inherited trait. It is part of Man's evolution. ;=)

AE held no stock in a personal God, none, nada, zip.

He should try Engineering calc. Four semesters of advanced math. Frequent tests, even more frequent tests, no calculators allowed.
After surviving that mess, I get sick when I see an integral signal, and I am good with math. On the plus side, it made every math course that I took after that (Linear Algebra, Finite, Prob & Stat) a walk in the park.

Jesus was not gentle with people who willfully rejected the truth of the Gospel or tried to insert rules or meanings that were not there (Pharisees).

I used to tutor, and for the life of me I could never understand why some people had such a hard time with math. Smart people too, way better then me in lots of other subjects.

I do not know either way, but I am pretty sure the quote is for real. AE felt if one can not know both the position and velocity of a partical then one can not have a predictable universe and that bugged the hell out of him.

Too late now, he's been out of school for something like 20 years. Math was strictly recreational and he stopped when he got his first non A grade.
I think we're slightly ot here.
Got any evolution questions?

Albert Einstein was Jewish. He would not belive in Christian doctrine. You are simply too much. You don't know jack about AE. What I said was the simple truth. AE did not believe in a personal God. A personal God does not imply Christianity Mr Bible.

Got any evolution questions?
Well, sort of. How can anyone claim intellectual honesty or scientific literacy and still support a "disclaimer" for the theory of evolution that includes a false claim about the theory?
