Thank You Karl Rove!

You have proven that those who say the GOP can't acknowledge the Swift Boat Veterans and POWs for Truth
are wrong.

Thank You Karl Rove for standing up for Viet Nam Vets
that Kerry lied about in 1971!

The top White House adviser explained: "I was amazed by the people that I met around the country who were energized by that issue being discussed. ... I was really amazed by how strongly men and women who had served in Vietnam and in the armed forces felt about that."

I am amazed that Rove was amazed. He apparently doesn't get out much among the common folk. - tom

I'm convinced that millions went to the Swift Vets that didn't go the the RNC. American citizens were captivated by the Swift Vets and felt more comfortable donating them to them, rather than some huge faceless political organization.

Revenge is sweet but more importantly, John Kerry was excluded from the White House. All hail John O'Neill, Admiral Roy Hoffman and their honorable brothers in arms!

I've said all along I'm a registered Independent.

And I voted for President Bush in 2000 and 2004

It would be nice to see all the GOP members who said
"the GOP can't acknowledge the Swift Boat Vets, etc"
stop and post why they think Karl Rove was wrong.

I've admitted I was wrong about my remarks about the elite GOP.
There are some stand up people in the GOP.

And CPAC is honoring Swift Boat Vets this week.

Conservatives (CPAC) Laud Swift Boat Veterans

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1344216/posts

So what's wrong with the GOP who say
"This is illegal etc."

But Michael Moore of moveon.org with Jimmy Carter was ok?

I'm a bit confused?

...and Kerry STILL hasn't signed SF 180. Wonder why?
I love the SBVT guys and the best money I spent in 2004 was my contribution to them. Interesting the MSM never remarks on the fact that Bush won the veterans' vot in the 60-70% range, despite all of Kerry's prancing around on stage as a veteran.

The question, of course, is why did Rove and the GOP *NEED* the Swift Boat Vets to tell the truth about John Kerry. Why couldn't Republicans bring it up themselves? Why was the news media completely uncurious about Kerry's claims and, in addition, completely silent about his obviously traitorous past?

Why was it left to John O'Neill and his fellow Swifties to take the mudslinging and arrows? Why did the Bush Administration lack the courage to attack the Senator themselves instead of using surrogates they could pretend to criticise?

My hat's off to the Swifties, of course, but I still question why the GOP couldn't swat these sort of lies down without the need of a side group to do the dirty work for them.

I was amazed by the people that I met around the country who were energized by that issue being discussed. ...

I was amazed that the Republicans did not emphasize that John Kerry perjured himself before Congress when he claimed that he committed and witnessed atrocities in Vietnam. That testimony was raw dynamite then and remains so today.

The Swiftboat Vets carried the ball and took the heat--just like they did during the war.

You owe them big time, Rove.

Some may forget but I will not.

For the rest of my years, I will remember the Swift Boat Vets and the POWs for Truth as the key force in keeping traitor John Kerry from serving as Commander in Chief.

>> I was really amazed by how strongly men and women who had served in Vietnam and in the armed forces felt about that [ROVE].

I enlisted and reenlisted during the Vietnam War. Two of my best friends were killed in Nam, and my 1st cousin was wounded. Kerry slandered them!

If Kerry was convicted of treason (and he should be), I would volunteer to serve on the firing squad. No, I would insist I serve on it.

I was already energized, but the money I contributed to the Swift Boat Vets was the best investment I've ever made.
