The Simpsons is a cartoon. It's been on for many years, and although is does aggravate many on the right on occasion, it also antagonizes the left just as frequently. You'll see the same results in a thread about South Park.
Of course you ccan object and write to the sponsors if you don't like a particular episode. But coming on here and pretty much demanding that others do the same is a sure-fire way to get flamed. The more you stick around, the more you'll find out these things that arouse strong reactions. You might very well be surprised at some other opinions FReepers hold. But we are a diverse group.

The simpsons don't jump sharks: they harpoon and fillet and grill sharks.
To me, nothing. To many it is considered Vulgar Slang. I merely said that I find it funny, that someone will complain about a TV show, etc., while using a word like crap. They don't see that they make a mockery of the idea that there is one standard of decency.

Well I was responding to a poster who obviously didn't like my views and thought I was a plant from Moveon. How immature. I see no point in responding any more to this thread. It's pointless. If anyone out there who cares about where this homosexual/same-sex marriage issue is going, they would understand my post and where I'm coming from.
I didn't see your picture in your post so I didn't notice the color of your skin. I think you were called a Moveon.org plant because your acting like a uptight, repressed feeling liberal. I may be wrong though. Objects in the mirror can be distorted.
I hope you didn't mention Free Republic in your letter.
And again we ask, what has your race to do with this? Especially since your tag line wasn't started until AFTER you informed us that you are black.
And you turned that into about you being black? Anyway, is was your views that made him accuse you of being a plant.
Anyway, you are free to have your opinion. It is when you try to tell me, what is or isn't appropriate conservative TV, that we have an issue to debate.

Isn't that the point? If the story line is as discussed, the same sex marriage mantra in cartoon form, is focusing on kids. .Has anyone noticed that the same sex marriage or bi-sexual, transgender, transexual, gay,lesbian, life is in the media on a daily basis, the same is taught in schools, to a great degree. I wish that the schools would get back to basics, you know boring subjects like math, reading civics and etc..... Kids should be taught respect for all people, but to isolate groups as somethg special is wrong in my view.
TV Media is using the subject matter for their programming all too frequently,.
