Finally, someday in America the next big bad thing is going to happen, and lines are going to go down, and darkness is going to descend, and the instant communication we now enjoy is going to be compromised. People in one part of the country are going to wonder how people in another part are doing. Little by little lines are going to come up, and people are going to log on, and they're going to get the best, most comprehensive, and ultimately, just because it's there, most heartening information from . . . some lone blogger out there. And then another. They're going to do some big work down the road.

Which is, after all, one of the main purposes for DARPANET and "the Internet": robust (in many senses of that word) communications.

I remember what the late great Christopher Reeve said on "The Tonight Show" 20 years ago. He was the second guest, after Rodney Dangerfield. Dangerfield did his act and he was hot as a pistol. Then after Reeve sat down Dangerfield continued to be riotous. Reeve looked at him, gestured toward him, looked at the audience and said with grace and delight, "Do you believe this is free?" The audience cheered. That's how I feel on their best days when I read blogs.

Some publisher is going to decide that if you can't fight blogs, you can join them. He'll think like this: We're already on the Internet. That's how bloggers get and review our reporting. Why don't we get our own bloggers to challenge our work?

Bloggers is a community of the American people, able to get information on any subject or up to date news , thus, by passing the MSM.
( BLOGGERS !!!! FAST ! QUICK ! NON BS ! UP TO DATE NEWS AT YOUR FINGER TIPS ! that cuts out the middle man ( MSM ) and gets the news to the American people without the BS and BRAINWASHING from the MSM )
The reason the leftist , elitist, socialist MSM and liberals are upset is because they are losing their control over the American people, and the American peoples minds.
This is kind of like the revolution or paradigm shift that took place in the 15 th or 16 th century when the printing press was invented.
The Church leaders in Europe had a monopoly over the word of GOD and peoples minds in the 15 th or 16 th century.
The church leaders were in a uproar over the printing press , because since the average person can read the word of GOD themselves, and know themselves what the word of GOD says, they we losing control of the masses.

Nice analogy. The MSM is fustrated that middle America--average working class Americans---are now in control of what they read, and therefore, what they know. We no longer need the MSM to tell us what's news, or to manipulate what we think about the news. Fortunately for conservatives, the MSM has been slow to perceive that this has changed every aspect of American life from top to bottom.

OK, OK,, some don't like the word " BLOGS " or " BLOGGERS " then what is it then ?
If we can't all agree on what kind of word to use for this kind of forum and others like POWERLINE , then, we must come up with a uniformity and uniform word to use .
I know one thing for sure it is, it's a paradigm shift, and the MSM and Liberals can't handle it.
