SAN FRANCISCO California authorities say O-J Simpson's older brother was the driver of an airport shuttle bus that crashed on a freeway, killing a passenger.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Melvin Simpson may have fallen asleep at the wheel before the bus struck a guard rail Friday and veered into a concrete support column.
Officials say Simpson was near the end of his eight-hour shift and suffering flulike symptoms when the 21-seat van crashed. Six other passengers were injured.
Simpson, who also suffered minor injuries, provided a blood sample to investigators, but they don't suspect he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Reached by phone at his home in San Mateo, Simpson said he could not make a detailed statement but apologized for the crash.
Well, it's not like he took a knife and killed somebody.
"If the pylon was hit, you must acquit."
That Hertz.
sleep apnea? where did he get his dot exam?
Where do you get apnea from "flulike symptoms"? They're worlds apart.
Besides, apnea isn't what you're thinking of. Apnea is when you stop breathing during sleep. You're looking for narcolepsy, which is when you fall asleep any time, any place.
OJ was seen running through the airport.
Orenthal and Melvin.
LOL! Clemenza, my friend, did you see the AP story about Two Buck Chuck -- last day or two?
Ummm, sleep apnea and narcolepsy are intimately related.
He should have taken some driving lessons from Cowlings.

So many keywords, so little time.
Couldn't OJ have taught him to drive at low speeds?
...he promised to find the real driver...
Couldn't O.J. have helped his brother out so he didn't have to work? What a shame. </sarcasm off>
I missed it. Send me a link, por favor.
Have they found the driving gloves he was wearing? Do they fit?
They are related, but they are in fact different. It's possible to have one without the other.
Periodic limb movement disorder and restless leg syndrome (from both of which I suffer) are related, but distinctly different. Likewise, they usually show up together, but occasionally someone exhibits signs of only one.
