I know what you mean about some of the Barbies sending the wrong message.......I'm very picky about what kind of clothes I buy for the doll.....I try to stick to the traditional styles, like evening gowns, like I had as a kid and stay as far away from the "slutty" stuff as possible. We're trying our best not to send her mixed messages.

It sounds like you and your husband are doing a wonderful job raising your kids. Good for you.

We only have the one and she bounces between real girlie-girl and tomboy. For Christmas she wanted a new baby doll........and hot wheels cars. LOL!

That is funny,my daughter was the same way at that age.
What is even funnier,is that my son was very adamant about me having a baby girl, when I was pregnant with her.He would tell everyone that he was going to have a baby sister.I guess he figured at age 4 and a half, that a baby sister would never play with his toys.

Boy was he wrong.LOL.
How ever he was nice about sharing his toys and sometimes even encouraged her to play with his toys so he would have a play maid.

Thank you,we are trying our best and time will only tell.

You are not doing bad either, with the way you are raising your daughter.Communication and agreements between both parents is very important in raising kids,IMHO.
