I don't see how a robot soldier can ever be more intelligent than a human. Humans program these things for a set of predetermined situations. What happens when they face a situation in the battle field that it has not been programmed? This is all kinda dumb, IMHO.

This sounds ripe for the law of unintended consequences.

Robots are, esentially, unthinking machines. I'm not so sure that I want an unthinking machine carrying a weapon around me.

Furthermore, down the line, I would think that this would bring more civilian casualties....why, you ask? Because if you have two states at war with robots, they don't really care how many robots they lose. It could make war last perpetually longer, as all you are losing is money.

So how do you go about winning? You bring the war to the people - the civilians - and cause casualties.
