I have been trying to fill 4 technical jobs for 4 months. No one, with the qualifications, seems to be looking. I know that is anecdotal but I know of many other's having the same problem all over the US.

We're seeing the same thing here in the People's Democratic Republic of Illinois. In order to keep our project moving we've hired 3 Pakistani's, a Russian, a Bulgarian and of course, a Mexican. They all had to move to the US.

I'd hire a legal Martian, if he or she spoke English, wasn't color blind or physically impaired, and could read English. No eyebrow or nose rings. Sheeesh!

Be interesting to see:

a) how their real-life qualifications matched up against those on the resume
b) how much they are being paid
c) Some of the resumes from Americans which were 'circular filed' without even being called in for an interview
d) How much of their moving expenses were paid for by themselves vs. by the company
