This is how The Terminal should have ended in the first five minutes of the film, thus sparing us the rest...

Figured he would be an expatriate "Pork Chopper" from Essex County. Maybe not.

I guess once he found out the price of a hot dog and Coke at airport prices, that was the last straw...

"A man arriving from Portugal apparently committed suicide in a janitor's closet at Newark Liberty International Airport. "
Landing in Newark will do that to ya...

I find this strange that someone would commit suicide while waiting for a flight that he had tickets for.

Do you think he should have taken the flight and then offed himself in DC?
To: green iguana
Uh, no. Is that what you think he should have done?

A suicide-of-opportunity, perhaps?
To: Calpernia
Well, they do call it a terminal.

A tough crowd today. Not even one sympathetic response in here? His national origin, his reason for being in Newark, etc., all aside, I'm sorry that whatever situation the man was in, he felt he had no other option than to kill himself. And I'm very sorry for his family.

indeed, something doesn't feel right about this. hopefully they are searching his home.

Rhetorical question. I think if someone is intent on suicide, little matters such as a paid-for plane ticket are not going to get in the way. Who knows - maybe it was a return to DC that he was dreading that pushed him over the edge.
To: Blzbba
Maybe he had a message waiting on his cell phone when he landed.
Sad.

I agree, the statements here are along the lines of the Yahoo message boards and those are really near the bottom of class.
