Very suspicious. IMHO...not a suicide.
indeed, something doesn't feel right about this. hopefully they are searching his home.
That was my thought. If he was planning on killing himself, why proceed with this trip? He was on his way someplace....I find it suspicious.
"...between his walk from the plane and the customs checkpoint to re-enter the United States"
I do feel for the family and friends of the individual.
It is interesting, however, because apparently it happened prior to going through customs, unless I'm interpreting this sentence incorrectly.
I've been through Immigration/Customs in a number of US airports and the route has always been designed to prevent anyone from exiting early or hiding somewhere. For someone bent on suicide to find a conveniently open janitor's closet in this area seems to be more in the realm of Arkancide than reality.
maybe he was coming back with some info someone didn't want known?
or maybe he was just a Vince Foster personality
Precisely. Why didn't he off himself before he even got on the plane? Or why didn't he wait until he had returned to Maryland?
In the travel time from Lisbon to Newark, what could have changed his state-of-mind?
Why couldn't it have waited until he returned home? Choosing to act within such a limited time frame, between the gate and customs, under a circumstance that could not possibly have been convenient (how does one go about hanging oneself in a janitor's closet?), strongly suggests something is rotten in the state of EWR.
